   Excellent kebabs! The Sphinx has been a Belfast landmark for several decades, with it signature steak kebabs and more regular chippie offerings being a staple takeaway food for many.

   The kabab is probably the best you'll ever eat, but £38 for 2 large with extra sauce is daylight robbery. I used to be a regular caller but had not been for a number of years. Unfortunately no matter how good the kabab, it's still only a kabab and at £19 each I'll never be back.

   Food wasn't edble... got a chicken kebab.... as their steak kebabs are full of fat and gristle and literally hurt your teeth. . So after few beers 2am ish,, munchies kicked in. over priced muck is what I got, saturated with sauce... maybe to cover up the poor quality... also no salad on a very small bit of pita bread.... should have called it pity bread... I bought 2 of them as with a friend and brought them straight back in after the sludge ran out ofvthe paper all over my trainers ffs... I showed the girl at the counter and said we can't eat these, they are a mess and destroyed ..she just laughed.... £25 spent and after one bite , both went straight in to the bin outside..... I'll never be back. I was gonna leave them out for the seagulls but they wouldn't eat them either ... get your house in order hey..

   I had heard Great things about these Kebabs . Utter kaos except for one poor girl who must have been under great pressure with what appeared to be inexperienced staff. We didn't mind the wait but when we got our Kebabs the portion difference was so inconsistent. We would not have faulted the food and sauce but no peppers or onions yet we did not ask without or Irish as they call them. What was inexcusable was finding a black long coarse hair in the middle of one of the Kebabs now Really Where are the HAIR NETS . They did refund the price but unfortunately won't be back or recommending.

   Used to live down the street a few years back and was in nearly every week for the best kebab in, not just Belfast, but the Country! But boy, oh boy, not now, very disappointed ! Overpriced, got 2 kebabs and one chip £24, the Chips were nice, but the kebabs were very dry, and the house sauce is nothing like it used to be! It's so sad to see what used to be a great place end up like this.

   Absolutely amazing.l had the mixed kebab with chips and salad(with the house sauce).The smell alone made my mouth water and the taste was amazing. It was my second time going there. I regret not having gone there more often Their kebabs are to die for.Highly recomment them.Unfortunately l devoured the food the moment l got it and forgot to take a photo.

   I have been a long time fan of sphinx but last night’s kebab was very disappointing. There was very little sauce which meant the meat was mostly dry and tough. Also, the sauce did not taste like regular sphinx sauce. Have they changed the recipe? It used to be tangy, succulent, a taste explosion in my mouth. Last night the sauce had very little flavour :(

   Got 2 kebabs from this branch today and the quality of food has been rubbish to say the least. The stake was raw, chewy and very fatty the salad was just disgusting and definitely not worth the £28.40 we paid for TWO kebabs. The food used to be very good in the past however in recent times the quality has massively dropped while the price has sky shot up!

   Great kebab meat BUT absolutely LUDICROUS PRICES. But £16 for a "large" mixed kebab in a pitta is absurd.
