Came here tonight for a family meal. We didn't get the warmest of welcomes. The menu is good with the home comforts covered and some other interesting options. I was glad to see the vegetarian lasagne which I always love to see. The food came quickly amd was served by a very friendly waitress. Everything was delicious amd well cooked. Portion sizes are brilliant and prices are about average. Lot's of free parking and nice interior decor. It would be just nice if the service at the bar was more welcoming.

We have visited many times, the food, service and atmosphere is always good. The menu is varied and we have enjoyed many different options. Always well cooked tasty food, nice gravy served separately so you can have more or less. Good range of drinks with friendly good service. Sunday lunch is always good with a variety of meats on offer. Well done looking forward to seeing you again soon, many thanks the Turvey family.

This establishment has been totally refurbished over the pass few years due to the hard work of the present landlord and his staff , what's been done has completely changed the atmosphere of the Inn . The menu has been well thought out , separating Breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a wide choice of delicious foods with set times. I would recommend phoning to reserve a table , so your not disappointed. Enjoy

Small plates on the menu is a good idea for when you just want a small meal. Desserts are good and include custard and not just ice cream. We asked for and got both in generous amounts. Overall a good menu and comfortable environment.

The Pickwick Inn was a lovely pub to stop off and enjoy a tasty roast dinner. Plentiful vegetables and meat ,tasty roast potatoes too. The staff are friendly and helpful. (The toilet facilities need updating and lock fixing) A lovely stop off and i highly recommend the Sunday dinner.

It was our first time visit to Pickwick Inn. Have driven an hour enticed by the special Czech and Slovak menu put on by the chef Walter. Restaurant is in lovely old building with an open fire place. Plenty of parking spaces outside, beer garden and if visiting with kids there are also baby changing facilities and high chairs. Chef Walter came out to greet us and explained the menu and made recommendations. We had our 2 year old with us and agreed with the chef on small child portion from the specials menu. Walter was very friendly, sorted any special requests, nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely potato rosti starter, it was perfect, not at all greasy like they easily can be. I then had a confit duck leg on red cabbage with dumplings, it was sublime, meat falling off the bone, skin crispy. My husband had a beef goulash in a bread bowl, also delicious and perfectly seasoned. For dessert we had a strawberry steamed pudding with a chocolate sauce and traditional czech cakes with rum custard. Those almost brought tears to my eyes as they tasted just like my grandma used to make them. Portions were very generous, we could hardly finish the amazing feast. It was well worth the 2 hour round trip. My only comment to the inn owner is to put some nice log storage/shelves next to the open fire, it would make a lovely feature rather than having the sacks with logs. Will certainly be back. Many thanks again Walter, you are a true credit to the restaurant.

A lovely local pub offering food & drinks, internally the decor has an Italian theme, which the menu compliments, from pizza to pasta dishes all freshly prepared. A warm, comfortable & inviting rural pub. Has a free car park to the rear of the pub.

Brilliant. Food was great, atmosphere was great, service was great. Even with two young kids, everyone was really lovely. Will come again next time we're in the area, definitely.
