I booked in advance for myself and a friend. We were having lunch before going to the theatre. I chose Noah's Ark as, looking online, I saw there was a gluten free menu (my friend follows a gluten free diet). When we arrived at the pub I mentioned that we were looking for gluten free options and was told that there were none, not even gluten free bread. Instead a member of bar staff brought us a large document listing all the allergy information for every item on the menu. She left us to look at this without any guidance. Later, when my friend was struggling to work out what she could eat we asked for more help. We were then shown the allergies menu but, looking through it with the bar person we could only see vegan and vegetarian options (I realised later that we should have turned to the back page of that menu, but this wasn't suggested by the bar person!). Eventually my friend opted for the Hearty House Salad from the main menu. As she was eating through this she realised that it was missing 4 of the listed ingredients: rice, quinoa, edamame beans and herby garlic dressing. When we pointed this out at the bar, and as we didn't have time to wait for a replacement meal, we were offered a full refund for the salad. I am grateful for the refund, but this didn't compensate for the fact that my friend left the pub hungry and remained so throughout the play that we were about to see. I don't usually write reviews, but it seems important that your staff are aware of what you are offering. When it was too late we saw that there was a nice selection of gluten free dishes on the allergy menu. All that was needed was that your staff showed us these options at the outset.

Attended this pub today and would just like to say what a great vibe the pub seemed to of had, the staff here we're absolutely fantastic, the manager here went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and enjoyed our chat we had. Also have to mention the female colleague on the bar, both her and the manager are a real asset to the company. Thanks for the coke.

Another pub we visited that used to be a favourite from my time in the RN 1980's. Still a nice sized pub with a decent selection of alcoholic drinks. No outside seating areas at all, so smoking is outside the entrance doors on the street.

Situated at bottom of city centre in behind royal parade. Been there for as long as I can remember. Old style British pub with good selection of wines, spirits and beers. It does serve beverages to. A menu of pub food from full English to fish and chips and curries. I had a full English which was ok. And reasonably priced to. You can get a larger one at an extra cost. Service was good and with a smile. Something you don't get much of these days. It's a reasonable sized pub with a lot of seating. It is fairly clean on tables. But when you walk in you do get a strong smell of stale drink and dare I say it pee. Well that's what I thought I could smell. It's a well used pub and has its regulars. Toilets are average and do have a little smell to them. It's easily accessed if your disabled. But it's a city centre so parking is done in local car parks. It's a place you could visit have a drink and a bite at a reasonable cost. I have used in the past and probs will use again.

I absolutely adore this pub! The management and staff are super helpful and friendly, a great place to stop for a bite to eat and a few drinks. Fantastic value for money, especially in the current circumstances. Family and dog friendly!

Popped in here last Thursday because the 'spoons' was crowded out. Glad we did. The food was excellent, and reasonably priced. Surprised at the prices. The staff were also lovely. We will make a point of coming again next time we're in Plymouth.

Such a lovely place and nice and chilled. All the staff are lovely and kind even the doormen. Hayley - so lovely and kind and even got me out when I got locked in the toilet once lol. Kenny - a very funny person and also very kind. Dan - very nice person, always gives me my favourite glass when I get a drink! Dave - such a nice person, know him very well and knows my usual drink! Beth - new to the place however is great at table service making sure we’ve got everything we need. Will and Emma - lovely people, don’t see them much on the weekend but still kind. Josh - great at having a conversation with. All together such a great team, good selection of beers, spirits, shots, wines, whiskeys and lager! Even nice selection of soft drinks and crisps. The food is outstanding, good prices and good quality! Slot machines, charging facilities for mobile phones, pool table and good music! Live sports played daily for everyone to enjoy. Couldn’t ever fault them. Definitely a place to come with family, friends or even by yourself!

I used to eat here 20yr ago so my partner and I thought yeah used to be good good there let's go there. Upon entering the premises there was a strong unpleasant odour the seats were stained, the floor sticky and the decor tired. Well didn't want to judge so made our order the staff pleasant order cheap all good. The food arrived mine a breakfast not bad amount however the tomato was the only hot item on my plate my Mrs had buttermilk chicken sub it didn't look appealing at all. Warmed up goodness knows how many times as very dried out we both ate half and left the rest needless to say we won't be recommending this establishment not as good as before unfortunately.

Had two for one cocktails (long Island iced tea) and 10 chicken wings in Korean BBQ sauce with sesame seeds for sharing. Beer was very cold in a clean glass. It was a nice place to have lunch. Bar staff were very attentive.
