Xmas Day Dinner Poor main course, although beef was lovely. Turkey was dry and end cuts. Parsnips were hard and no gravy on meal and when we asked for some they brought it out as we wanted extra when there was none on our dinner, food was not that hot either Attended last year so booked for this year as really enjoyed it. However had to attend later in day due to me working but very disappointed this year. Starters were nice but very small portion size. Pub was cold, no heating on, well felt like it wasnt Delays between courses Puddings were lovely. Overall very disappointed especially for how much we paid £75.99 each then the extras for pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese. Sad wont be returning next year Staff friendly and attentive

Lovely experience with prompt, fantastic service and a great atmosphere with the music and lighting. The food was really well timed as well as tasting amazing, with great portion sizing. Ruby was our server and we couldn't have asked for anything more from her, overall a great night.

Delicious food, cooked to order so expect to wait a little longer than a microwave food pub. Steak, Hunters Chicken Schnitzel and Gluton Free Bacon Chop meals were all delicious accompanied by mouthwatering chips. Lemon zesty cheesecake for all three of us rounded up a delicious meal. Nice warm pub and our lovely waitress Jackie couldn't do enough for us. Can't wait to go back

Three of us wanted an easy dinner without having to cook. Cauliflower wings were followed by hunter’s chicken, chicken burger, and a chicken and chorizo skewer. All very tasty and served quickly. Quiet evening in the bar, but we have been on ma ch busier evenings. The staff are always efficient and helpful. Very nice.

This used to be a lovely pub with great food, what happened?! Went today for the first time in a while and the whole experience was awful. It was clear they didn't have enough staff which is fine as long as the ones they do have are nice and do their best... Unfortunately the young girl on the bar was very rude and was more interested in moaning about the company and management than taking my order correctly. Food came out and was awful. Pie was swimming in water from the 'seasonal greens' which were just leeks. The chicken burger had sauce on that I had asked for them to take off. I brought this to their attention and all they did was scrape the sauce off in the kitchen and remove some of the chicken that had sauce on. Cheers guys! Chicken strips were also burnt - how do you manage that?! All in all, the pub has gone downhill massively. Not sure if it's management's fault or whether another chain has bought it out (I think it's Marston's now), but the place is now one to avoid. Rude staff, awful food, lack of care and just an overall poor experience at quite a high price point. Save your money and go elsewhere!

Visited here this afternoon and had a lovely experience. We were a table of 7 (4 adults and 3 children) Food was really good. Highly recommend the smoked beef and pancetta lasagne! We also had: Chicken, cider and mushroom pie (lovely), steak and ale pie (pie was full of meat and tender), kids nuggets and kids burger. All food was served hot and no complaints from anyone! Great selection of drinks and the staff were brilliant. Personally, I thought the bill was very reasonable for what we had and we would all return!

Although not far from where we live for some reason we have never eaten here before. We probably never would had we not been invited to a Saturday night family do. It was pretty much as expected, very much a pleasant family atmosphere, especially as it was the Halloween weekend. As a party of 8, you expect to have a few little issues but there weren't any, apart from a couple of things on the menu that were "sold out". Maree and Co nailed the service and the kitchen delivered really good food very promptly. I nearly said surprising but that would have been rude to the guys and girls in the kitchen. Prices have gone up, some possibly unjustifiably so but with no complaints from anyone I thought the bill was fair for what we had.

Being brutally honest, we stopped coming in years ago, but after some good food reviews recently we gave it another go. 30% off main meals at the mo Tuesday- Friday I think…. Highly recommend the chicken and chorizo flatbread!! Service was excellent and everyone was really friendly and helpful. Drinks are still expensive here (speaking from local experience) It’s back on the list though, so happy days!
