Use this store on a regular basis but the service is getting worse. Two weeks in a row now we have had problems with the self scan and both times we were given a simple sorry and told to deal with it ourselves. First time we spent around an hour doing our weekly shop scanning and packing as we went. Got to the self scan checkout and needed to wait for a member of staff to scan a few items as a check. The scanner stopped working. OK that's fine, technology can go wrong. The solution we were given was to go to another till remove everything we had packed and scan the shopping again or use a till manned by a member of staff which meant queuing at busy tills. The purpose of self scanning is to do shopping quickly! We do our shop in a short time before we need to pick our children up which is why we use self scan. Now the second time. We go through the whole scan and pack again. This time they manage to do the check of items in our bags and everything is OK. But this time the person who did it accidentally reset the scanner and wiped our shopping from it. I think she was new and getting trained so I can understand a mistake might be made. But again, we were simply told sorry. You'll have to scan again or use another till. So we ended up queuing again while phoning our kids to tell them to wait as we will be late picking them up. DO NOT SIMPLY SAY SORRY AND THEN TELL THE CUSTOMER SPENDING THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY AT YOUR STORE TO SORT IT OUT THEMSELVES MAKING OUT ITS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU. My issue is not with things going wrong or mistakes, they happen to us all. Just don't say sorry, shrug your shoulders and do nothing to come to a better solution other than telling someone shopping with other things they need to do that they'll just have to redo it all over again. You could have opened up one of the closed tills for us and asked a member of staff to put our shopping through, we would have paid and left, maybe a little later than we planned but problem solved. Instead we ended up being 40 minutes late picking our kids up because ended up queuing behind other customers. Sainsbury's is up the road. I think we'll be shopping there from now on. Hopefully we'll get better service.

I went to Tesco on 21st October just before 12 noon. It was very busy and there were long queues at every till. Some of the tills were closed. I had to wait 20 minutes in the queue. Then I had to go to the customer services till as I had to return an item. There was only one staff member and again a long queue. I asked that staff if she could call another staff as I had to go somewhere to attend an appointment. She was very aggressive and abrupt. This is Gujrati woman she always have attitude problem. She told me in very abrupt manner that "they have no staff znd long queues are a everyday thing". I found her very rude and unprofessional.

Used to love bringing my elderly parents on Sunday mornings to the cafe for breakfast - when it went over to self service the other week some manager or woman in charge dressed in black no badge or identification very rude saying this is the future and staff can talk to you and tables now instead of at till. I do not wish to be disturbed whilst eating to talk to the staff i was happy when i had a chat at till whilst ordering. We also noticed most of the regulars are no longer there on sunday mornings its such a shame as staff are always lovely.

As a regular visitor to Tesco around the country, what i find concerning is the poor standard of customer service and engagement at this branch. While shopping in this store, not only have I had one member of staff almost run me over with the click collect cart, but another slam it into my hip without any apology. Then.theres the self-service. Having used the self-service devices and paid for my goods, there are us no way of just leaving the device in a holder. Instead, I gave it to the member of staff who looked at me with some distain as I made her walk the 5ft from where she was chatting to another. None of the experience is up to the high standards I would expect.

You can always find what your after, at busy times shelves get a little bare but staff are quick to replenish them. Helpful staff and quick tills. Cafe needs to stay open longer or have self-service option.

Good size tesco supermarket. Has pretty much everything you would need for a weekly shop. Not the cheapest of the supermarkets. Has petrol station on site. Also has a KFC next to it incase you get hungry while out shopping. Good parking. Although the lanes are narrow and can make parking annoying when cars. Also has cashpoints outside in case you want to withdraw some money

Lots of easy accessible parking, sensible store layout with nice wide aisles. As typical not enough checkouts open, but that appears to be standard these days. Pleasant cafe, though the seats are in poor condition considering it has only been open a short while. Interesting choice of freshly made food. Friendly staff.

Best breakfast in the town ! Tried vegan breakfast not once , two times in a week. On both occasions , it was awesome. Nice quantity and quality. It is a little expansive , just over £5 without a drink but worth every penny. You can use clubcard to collect points too. Definitely going to have this again. The place was clean both times. Staff was helpful and friendly. May be should do a deal with hot drink or cold drink. Looking forward to try some more food from here. I believe they do home deliveries too! 5/5 for sure !! Must visit !!!
