   Phoned ahead and requested to pop in and try on some formal men’s shoes for our wedding. All the team members were incredibly helpful and kind, and we got to try on a lovely selection of shoes with different width options. Tony helped us out and was fabulous - knowledgable and very friendly. We found the perfect pair of shoes, bought them there and then and will definitely buy again in future from the website! Thank you again :)

   I needed some shoes for a funeral and accidentally ordered them to the wrong address. I contacted the shop by phone and they rectified the mistake and sent an immediate confirmation email. They also upgraded my delivery from 48 to 24hrs for free due to the circumstances. I will never forget that. I can say Herrings deserve their great reputation and come highly recommended from me - a great place to buy real shoes. The shoes are also really nice. I doubt I'll buy shoes from anywhere else now.

   Advised on purchasing a pair of Carlos Santos shoes saying that they were the same quality a Cheaney. I went ahead. After wearing the pair on maybe 15 to 20 occasions, I noticed loss of colour on the toe caps and vamp. Also noticed that the leather superficial layer was lifting off the undersurface. Given advice by Sean who basically told me that some chemical had come into contact with the shoes. After long emails, they decided that the customer was wrong and that was it. £300 pounds on a pair of shoes rendered cosmetically unwearable compared to all my other shoes, some older and much cheaper. Anyway, I told them put them in the bin. Was told by Chris that Herring own brand is by Carlos Santos. It seems from other reviews that their own brand i.e. Carlos Santos aren't that great. Cheaney they are not. They aren't even up to Loake standard, even the Design range. Basically they seem happy to lose a good customer with a genuine complaint. Very poor show all round. Will not be buying from them again.

   Have bought a number of shoes from Herring. Each time, the quality of shoes and customer service is above and beyond anyone else. I had to return some of the pairs due to sizing issues (my fault) and they were fantastic. Don't buy online with big international retailers. Buy locally or online from Herring. Cannot recommend enough.

   I have no doubt that when things go well, all is good with the quality etc. This, however has not been my experience. I ordered a pair of Herring own brand size 8. I have the following brands of size 8, Loake, Barkers, Cheaney, Adidas, Saloman, Gola, Brooks- all of which fit me. Herring own brand size 8 I could get my thumb between my heel and the inside of the shoe. I was told that the shoes not fitting was not their problem and therefore it has cost me £5 to return them. I will not be buying from here again

   Fantastic Range, Amazing Customer Service! I cant speak highly enough for the team at Herring. I have been a customer for about 8 years and have bought half a dozen pairs of shoes for them. They photo shoot their shoes well, products arrive as described and if there is a something that needs to be sorted, they really do everything that can to support their customers. A special call out to Chris Clark whom is a brilliant asset to the team at Herring.
