“I purchased my first pair of Conkers, and after a month of wearing them I can never go back to mass produced high street shoes. I ordered a pair of their hacket sandals in burnt orange with a vibram lightweight cleated sole. I ordered online via their website as I am not local to their store and found it very easy to navigate. I also made a call to them to ask for an in person recommendation on what sole they would suggest for the amount of walking I did, and their in store sales team were very responsive and helpful. The shoes took about a month to get to me, including international delivery, but I was aware that I had ordered them at quite a busy time, and was able to get updated making times by calling into their store. I love the level of customisation they offered, as I was able to choose exactly what fit, leather, sole and stitching suited my wardrobe and everyday activities. While they are more expensive than what I would pay for a pair of shoes in a standard shop, the quality is unmatched and their repair serice means that my new favourite pair of shoes will be able to live on for years to come. What I love most about the shoes though is the amount of walking I have been able to do, in town and out on forest paths, without my feet aching or getting blisters. Most shoes I've owned have become scuffed the first day I wear them, but these have been tripped and walked over rougher terrain without so much as a scratch. The team was a pleasure to deal with, via email and on the phone, and it felt great to be able to support a small business of talented crafts people. I have already ordered my second pair!”

“What a great kids shoe shop! Staff were excellent - fully measured my 1 year old up and were so good with him. Huge range of shoes for boys and girls - they seem high quality but are £35 to £45 each. Don’t judge a book by its cover - worth a visit!”

I had to return some of the pairs due to sizing issues (my fault) and they were fantastic. Don't buy online with big international retailers. Buy locally or online from Herring. Cannot recommend enough.”

“After visiting one specialist shoe shop, who's assistant had poor customer care & was quite rude, was pleased to visit Pavers Shoes. Their assistants were pleasant, polite & extremely helpful. Relative was almost ready to give up in search of a pretty pair of leather sandals, however Pavers provided plenty for relative to try on & more importantly, took time to listen to what was required, resulting in not just one purchase, but two. David, our assistant carried out his role both professionally & in a highly considerate manner. Advised that anything not available in size required, could possibly be ordered & delivered directly to home address. Equally, any purchases could be returned within a month provided items ordered were worn inside customer's home. Will be back & highly recommend.”

“I only went to replace some items. I found what I wanted but there was only one on the rack (I wanted 3). While making my way to the payment desk I picked up a couple of shirts. The young lady at reception checked the system and confirmed that that was the only one in store. However she could order the extra 2 pairs and they would be in store 2 days later. She was extremely helpful and efficient, I would recommend a visit if you are passing.”
