   Went to my grandsons first birthday party the room was lovely there was plenty of room for the kids to have a play area set up room for food some of us were drinking and staff were great at supplying others with teas and coffees etc great afternoon

   Had our engagement party here august 2024 and are having wedding reception here as well The staff are good the room is deceptively big get a decent amount of people in We do our own catering but we clean the room afterwards it’s our go to venue

   First time going to the Vale last week . My partner and I loved the Great food !! It was a good carvery for a good price . However , the man serving the meat had a horrible attitude , was very rude and snappy. We’d just picked up our plates to start serving ourselves when he came from the kitchen. Snatched the plates from our hands and said ‘here you wait to be served meat first then we hand you the plate ‘ we were completely taken back by his actions and his tone , he continued to mumble under his breath .All this was in front of other guests who were quietly enjoying their food . Everyone looked stunned by this and concerned about us , especially because I was heavily pregnant . I told him he could’ve handled the situation better than he did and it wasn’t nice to be treated like that .

   Went to have Sunday lunch to celebrate husbands birthday. Didn't book it till 2 days before. They were very accomodating for us. All staff was very pleasant and the lunch was absolutely gorgeous with a great choice of mains and desserts. All home cooked, couldn't fault it. Will definately go again.
