Lovely place to have cake and coffee, as well as organising get together from work and friends. I went for an Afternoon Tea with friends and Steve was fantastic, very kind and friendly, food and cake were excellent, as well as taking into consideration a dietary requirement, one of us was gluten free, and we all have a great time and enjoyed everything.

The 4 of us went to Steve's Bar for their afternoon tea and thoroughly enjoyed it. A very generous presentation - for 2 persons -;- 2 small pork pies, 4 mini sausage rolls, half large scotch egg, 16 finger sandwiches with generous fillings. 2 mini mince pies, 2 lemon sponge slices. 2 scones with butter jam and Rodda's clotted cream, 2 large pots of Yorkshire tea. I am something of an expert on afternoon teas, have enjoyed them from a range of venues - from Chatsworth House to modest garden centres and enjoyed them all, and Steve's Bar proved one of the best Many thanks to Steve and his staff

Since discovering Steve's bar, I haven't felt the need to go into Nottingham anymore, as I currently feel quite unsafe there. The atmosphere is wonderful, the staff are incredibly hardworking, and the entertainment is fantastic, especially considering there are no other pubs in Mapperly Top with discos or live music. The drinks are reasonably priced and offer a good selection. I haven't personally tried the food, so I can't comment, but I've heard good things from family members. Like any pub, there might be the occasional disruptive customer, but the staff quickly address any issues. You go in as a customer and quickly become a regular. Both Steve and Andrew are wonderful people who make you feel very welcome.

Lovely, friendly private run bar. I enjoy it for the atmosphere and live music. Haven't eaten there so can't comment about the food but knowing the owners it's probably good.

Went here randomly last Saturday with my partner and we both could not have been more satisfied! The food was amazing! The last time we been here it was under a different name (presumably different owner β€œtipsy t”) and we only ever really had the afternoon teas. But now that we’ve tried the breakfast it will definitely become a regular spot. I had a small breakfast and my partner the breakfast roll. Both were equally mouth watering delicious and you could taste the quality produce they used. The sausages were fantastic, the bacon thick and delicious! Even the toast was great. Honestly 10/10. Highly recommend

There is a reason you can't review on FB. I asked for top shelf gin ( hadn't been out for a while so thought I'd treat myself) and it was served in a sticky gin glass and quite frankly by rude bar staff. Spilt drinks were cleaned up my toilet mops. The man I told didn't care. The place stunk of a chip frier and was more expensive that the much more pleasant bars on mapperley top. I just felt dirty when I left like I needed a shower. I loved tipsy tea, it was my go to place when I wanted a nice drink and night out and no money matters. Steve's was a massive disappointment and in need of a a good scrub in the shower Oz being I there I just felt dirty after I visited. It's a shame. It had so much potential
