    This pub was first established in 1811. It's been tastefully renovated by its owner, Jack and is a pleasant place to have a pint or a meal. The portions are generous and the food is good. If you leave here hungry, that would be exceptional. The staff are cheerful and chirpy and the service from Tracy is quick.

    Jack, Matthew, Tracey and the chef knocked this one out of the park! We wanted a birthday gathering in a private room with enough food for 14 people. They were accommodating even when we had to change the date at the last minute. The chef made us Halloumi Fries, 3 types of chicken wings and Mushrooms with Ciabatta bread, delivered continuously by the friendly staff. We all thoroughly enjoyed the night, and highly recommend otters to visit the pub for food and drinks to try other exciting foods, and Sunday Roast options.

    This place is an absolute dive. It is dirty and smelly. The furnishings are ripped with stuffing falling out. One room looks bare but basic. We only saw the state when we'd ordered food and drinks. The food was awful too. Burger was chewy but not in any good way. Chips were luke warm and not cooked through enough. My burger bun was hard at one end indicating it's age. I had one bite and left everything. Seriously dreadful. Our experience wasn't helped by the obviously regular client who drinks rum and coke who was loud and foul mouthed. Altogether YUK!!

    Nice little boozer. Good pool tables. Good place to watch sport. Food not bad. Nice friendly atmosphere. Places like this are nice to have around and are sadly disappearing from our communities. Plus the pub dog is awesome!

    Could not put zero stars. Massive disappointment, Place was a mess with half of the seats missing the leather on them. All bottled drinks are plastic bottles and all drinks are overpriced. I bought 2 drinks 1 mixed fruit kopparberg and a WKD which cost more than the pub on the corner before it. Bar staff wanted to watch football news so there was no background music and the place was quiet. The whole place smelt fusty like wet dog which did not go well with the owners dog wandering around bothering customers trying to have a drink.
