7 of us had the festive menu on the 9th December 2025. The food was excellent and the presentation went well beyond other pub meals. Everything was hot and cooked to perfection. The service was efficient and friendly. On top of that it was great value for money. Thank you for making our festive get together so enjoyable.

I had an excellent early evening at The Apple Tree in Nottingham, a lovely little gem tucked away, with a warm, welcoming feel. When my partner and I arrived, the venue was fairly quiet, but that wasn’t a problem: we’d gone in early, and as the night progressed, more people gradually showed up, giving the place a nice, relaxed buzz. One of the real highlights was the service. We were looked after by Pete, who couldn’t have been more helpful. He offered great suggestions on what to try: we went for his recommendation of the Maple-glazed pork belly, which was succulent and rich, and cooked beautifully. Pete also suggested a cider, Rosie’s pig rhubarb cider, to pair with our food, which turned out to be a great match, adding a crisp and fruity contrast to the richness of the pork belly. For pudding, we couldn’t resist the apple pie, a nod to the restaurant’s name, and it was comforting, warm, and just the right side of homey. The atmosphere, though it started quietly, built over time and felt more intimate than buzzing, which made for a really relaxed dining experience. The décor is rustic but tasteful, with wooden beams and soft lighting that adds to the charm. Overall, The Apple Tree is a delightful place for a relaxed, well-served meal, especially if you arrive early and enjoy a quieter vibe before things pick up. Thanks to Pete for really making our evening special with his friendly service and spot-on recommendations. We’ll definitely be going back.

Went out for a meal with friends and family to the Apple Tree. The staff , food and environment were amazing the staff very attentive could not have asked for more. The food was value for money and the selection of drinks were for all tastes and reasonably priced. The facilities were immaculate and plenty of parking. Would highly recommend to anybody. Also a special thanks to katy who looked after us all.

We had a fantastic visit to The Apple Tree in Nottingham. As a booking of seven people I expected at least a few errors. However there was none. The service was excellent from the beginning, the barman who took our order was amazing, really pleasant, patient and thorough throughout. (Unfortunately he didn’t have a name badge on, however is had a distinctive piercing so please pass on our thanks). The food was absolutely delicious. The mixed grill was one of the best I’ve had in years! My wife had the gammon and said exactly the same about hers. The desserts were fantastic too the Apple Pie and Creme brûlée were to die for. We’ll definitely be returning, especially as the service and value for money was outstanding. Highly recommend!

We've eaten here several times recently while visiting family in the area. The food has been delicious. There's a good choice of well kept cask ales, and a decent range of wines by the glass. The most important thing here though is the team. Everyone who we've dealt with has been friendly and helpful, and they all seem to genuinely understand good customer service.

Do not eat here!!!! Order a pint and walk away. Been local for 20 years and this place is a mess!! The roast would have made us ill had we eaten here. Just look at it… no words.

Popped in on a Sunday afternoon and the place was quiet. Finding a seat was easy and we were welcomed by staff on entry. We ordered through the app which was easy to use. Ordering mains, one starter for one of the kids, and puddings for the kids. Our drinks came quickly and the starter came soon after. The chap serving asked if we wanted to wait until the starter was finished for the mains or bring them asap. The mains arrived soon after and everything was lovely. Nothing over cooked, which is my main issue with pub grub. My burger was big and juicy and the fried egg was perfect, all white cooked through and a runny yoke. We finished our mains and as the chap was clearing our plates he asked if we'd be ordering desserts for the adults, as he'd get the kitchen to delay the kids desserts until that order came through. We did and all the puddings arrived at once, which I thought was a nice touch and good communication with the kitchen. All in all the food was good, and the service was great. I know the apple tree has been variable in the past but they seem to have it together at the moment!

Enjoyed a lovely meal on our weekend break, easy to book a table and we ordered from the app, which was easy to do. Staff were friendly and everything was covid safe. Will definitely visit next time we are up this way.
