Myself & 5 family members attended Xmas soul & Motown night. Greeted with a welcome drink by Keeley, who checked on us regularly . Food was lovely & plenty of it too. Staff friendly. Great night .

It was my first time ever to eat at this pub, but I must say, the service was great, the food was great and not delayed, it was nicely hot as should be, I was checked on my the server who was ensuring that all was great.

The Beechdale is such a welcoming pub, and we can’t thank Nicky, the landlady, enough for always making our Dominoes for Health group feel right at home every Thursday night. Her friendliness and support create such a positive atmosphere. Kyle and Beth behind the bar are fantastic too—always cheerful, helpful, and happy to accommodate us. It’s a great place with a great team!

Really disappointed & frustrated as we placed our drinks order & one of the lady staff started servicing us (we 3 ladies over 35) and suddenly a male staff came & asked to our physical ID proofs which of course which didn’t had & requested if we can show a soft copy to which he denied. We’d to show up unplanned as one of our friend was leaving UK in couple of days. Requested couple of times and the staff mentioned that they have been asked to do that. Truly felt some kind of RACISM as we could see people in all age groups there. I’d visited the pub before & felt good and that was the reason I’d revisited yesterday again but strongly disappointed and saddened by the way they decided not to have us. This is completely my way of perspective as I didn’t see any other motive ( as anyone could tell we ladies clearly are above 35).

Had a wedding reception in the function room. Dressed up very nicely and was a great night.

Excellent service. Lots of parkig space. Good value for money. All meals were well cooked, very tasty with lots of flavour. Over 30 of us was at the party and there were no complaints. The only thing that let it down slightly was that the venue was very very cold. We all had to keep our coats and hats on. As it was a children's birthday party(all under 7 years old) this should have been addressed before the event.

One of the worst pubs I’ve ever been to. The DJ (don’t know her name) was racist from start to end. Calling me out for being the only ‘ethnic’ in the room. Humiliating me in front of my friends. Making me feel small for being brown. Never want to go back to such a place, and to think I was enjoying celebrating a close friends birthday. Shame on this place. Embarrassing

Let me preface this with; the front of house staff were commendable and very polite and I feel they did a great job. There’s a “but” here. But, despite the good service I was provided, the quality of the food was found wanting. My complaints, are that the 12 ounce steak, was dry as a bone, the peppercorn sauce was not (it tasted like something that had expired and was just foul), the garlic bread with cheese was microwaved garbage it flopped as I picked it up and was utterly sodden on one side where the water had been at one point, my chips/fries were lacking in any flavour. My partners mash potato tasted as if it had come from a packet, the chicken and mushroom pie had the texture of something frozen and was incredibly disappointing. My friends steak was medium to well done when asked for Rare it was incredibly disappointing. I had to do something I’ve never done before, I returned food, to which the staff were very courteous and refunded me for my meal. I’m disappointed in the quality of the food, I think if the menu was restricted down to a few items on the menu that the chef can definitely cook, that would benefit the pub greatly. In terms of cleanliness; I was informed to pick up my menu from the “… blue rack over there…”, okay fine, only upon inspection, the menus looked liked they hadn’t been cleaned in months, the sauces hadn’t been checked if they were empty (a few were, I had to swap out the empties). The tables looked like they hadn’t been wiped in a few hours, there were empties on tables where customers had been and gone (during my hour or so there) that needed cleaning up. Overall my experience was not positive, the staff were very kind and friendly, which is why I have to rate one star. I hope, I can come back in the future and not only have better food, but a better experience overall. In the mean time. I sadly won’t be returning, despite the lovely environment of the pub.

Been here three times since the renovation. 1st time I had a seniors meal, absolutely lovely. 2nd time I went, I had the steak that was on offer, not too bad but on that day there was a child in the bar that was making such a noise with banging the salt pot and running around, not the Beechdales fault but i do believe that if children are going in, the parent's should be made responsible for looking after and telling their children to behave. 3rd time, I had a two meals for £9.99, lovely again. Beechdale was very nice for pub grub, would go there again. Barman very polite, asked if the meal was good, thanked us for coming.
