   Amazing service and beautifully decorated. The food was great, lots of veggie/vegan options too! Everything was reasonably priced. Shout-out to the lady who gave us party hats and a cake knife for our 11 year old chihuahuas birthday party!

   We love the Lion, the beer is impeccably kept and there are lots of real ales. The food is good and very popular. There are regular quizzes and live music at the weekends. The pub attracts a diverse customer base, a real social mix of ages and background and I think this adds to the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. It's also very much a dog pub, there are dog beds available and dog snacks too. I thoroughly recommend a visit to The Lion.

   Fantastic food, friendly service. A proper pub atmosphere, bit of live folk music which was a nice surprise. The burgers are fantastic. Lovely choice and range. Great ale too.

   Lovely pub with great food, friendly staff and a wide selection of drinks. Has some of the best craft beer options outside of the city centre. Always a top selection of local ales too if craft isn't your thing. Dog friendly too!

   Fantastic pub. The selection of local beers, ciders and wine is great. Went for a Sunday dinner and ended up having 6 pints of Lenton lane inhaler, which is absolutely delicious. The dinner was fantastic, they’d ran out of beef, so went for the veggie option instead which was suprisingly good, and they don’t skimp out on gravy. A really good price of £9.95 for a dinner. The rest of the menu looked really nice, lots of options for all diets. Really dog friendly pub with TVs, darts and a huge beer garden. There really is something for everyone at the lion.

   Excellent pub with on street and in site parking huge outdoor at area that is well maintained. "Cheers style" bar, approachable from three sides with food service and helpful staff who seemed on this occasion to go out of their way to maximize customer satisfaction. There is a stage area with regular free live entertainment that features bands of really high caliber. The night we were there it was Miss Bowie and the New Killer Stars who's performance killed off any doubts about quality entertainment. Such a performance would have garnered the approval of the fiercest music critic. Would I return and expect the same experience? I feel confident that I would, as they eye to detail from clearing and sanitizing take turnaround to speed and accuracy of service does not happen by accident but it's the result of team focus and leadership. Making and maintaining a high standard as a matter of routine is the key to turning casual visitors into regulars and that translates into a talked about reputation. Well done staff and management. We look forward to future comparable experiences
