Great atmosphere and great beer. Excellent olde worlde decor. Parking outside and outdoor seating too. Definitely worth a visit. Staff are friendly and efficient, a tremendous asset.

Great selection of beer, friendly and helpful staff but, oh dear, the food was awful. Had Xmas lunch there today, the prawn cocktail was freezing cold, the turkey was nice, carrots were cooked to a withered crisp and the gravy was like wall paper paste. Reminded me of a bad school dinner. Staff were helpful but only 2 guys serving behind the bar and running food service. Much better value at other local Wollaton pubs I'm sorry to say.

It was our second time visiting the Admiral Rodney as we really enjoyed our date in there the first time . Always a lovely cosy atmosphere and great we can bring our dog in with us too . On ordering by the app and noticing that pies had ran out I thought I’d check with the man behind the bar . He was very helpful and friendly and checked for me and two pies were still available. Had a starter of a sharing nachos dish then a main of steak and ale pie , mash and veg . Food was amazing and extremely filling . Can’t wait to go back again .

Always wonderful service at the Rodney, Marta and Anna are always stars. Exceptional value on the Seniors and Lunchtime menu’s. Worth visiting and I’d also add having seen the review below is the only reason we go is that the Rodney is dog friendly. Surely in 2025 many families have dogs and it’s great to have somewhere nice to take them. On many visits I have never seen a dog owner allow a dog to eat off a plate. This is an upmarket pub in one of the best districts of Nottingham and I just can’t see that happening.

Friendly staff, typical local pub. It's difficult to find a nice local. Food nice for a pub and not over priced. Can order at the bar or use the Green King app. Quiz nights very popular and good fun. Draught beers good selection, but remeber Green King keep rotating them. BUT The toilets are a discrace. They've been dirty as long as I remember. One of the ladies toilets has been broken for ages, and when they refurbished the gents they removed the urinals and replaced them with just two single toilets! On busy times the gents have to queue for ages just like the ladies. Bad design Green King. I would have given 2 stars but it's actually quite a nice local. Come on landlord and Green King clean your toilets.

Family Sunday lunch for 11. All thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Beef was very tender and beautifully cooked. Our veggie member was delighted with the choice she had. On a very busy New Years Day the staff looked after us very well. Thanks Mark, Tracey and staff. Jan Taylor and extended family

Visited boxing day with friends for lunch. Very tasty food, plenty of it and a great price as offers available despite the holiday. A good selection of beers available and my friends said the Tribute beer was lovely. Friendly staff made it a pleasure.

What a fantastic range of beers. I was in heaven!! Three of my favorites, Old Speckled hen, Abbott, 6X and more. The beef roast was perfect, tasty and well presented and the others in my party were enthusiastic about their food choices as well. Lovely pub.

Lovely traditional pub with nice relaxed atmosphere. We went for Sunday lunch and booked in advance which I would recommend as I doubt we would have got a table otherwise. At Β£12.95 for a Sunday dinner I expected it to be better than average. Meat and roast parsnips were fab and it’s great to have cauliflower cheese included with no extra cost, a star deducted for the other veg and roast potatoes for being a bit bland. Overall would recommend and will be returning to try other dishes.
