I could go on and on with the issues I encountered during this installation. Wren Kitchens are the only supplier still using 18mm laminate doors, and several of those doors arrived bowed. The carcasses were out of square, making the entire fitting process unnecessarily difficult. Even the hinges were adjusted to their limit straight out of the box, forcing me to remove and refix hinge plates — something that should never be required on any new kitchen, let alone one at this price point. I’ve been in the trade for 20 years, and each time I fit a Wren kitchen the quality seems to get worse. This will be the last time I ever install one.

Our new kitchen arrived two days ago. Our fitters were here, we were excited to get going. Unfortunately, that has quickly turned into a nightmare. Our initial inspection revealed that each unit we looked at had greasy fingerprints that did not rub off with standard household cleaner. We have subsequently inspected over 30 units - every single one of them is marked, and several are damaged. Some of the carcasses even had marks on the inside. There was no protective covering on any of the units - most companies deliver kitchens film wrapped to avoid this. What we have received has all the hallmarks of a 'seconds' kitchen yet we have been reassured it was made specifically for us and left the factory brand new. The freezer and extractor fan that were part of the order were not delivered because they were out of stock. No attempt to inform us of this was made and we found out the morning of the delivery that we would be without a freezer. Many of the panels arrived with hard black plastic corner protectors on; these had marked the panels which I believe would only happen following a number of hot/cold cycles, which would also make them brittle. I have been informed that the industry standard is corrugated cardboard corners, or air filled plastic - both offer better protection and environmental care. At this point we contacted customer 'care' to explain the problems. I have now spent hours on the phone trying to come to some arrangements but Wren appeared to not want to take responsibility. I was told I needed to send a picture of every single item that was damaged for them to arrange a replacement. After doing this for more than 30 units we ran out of time. We had not opened a single unit that was not marked or damaged. When I called again, I was still told that they would only arrange for delivery of the items that we had photographed and sent them. The solution for the freezer and extractor fan was for them to refund it and for me to purchase from somewhere else which somewhat missed the point of the inconvenience that Wren's service had caused me. The kitchen was delivered on Thursday. I eventually spoke to a manager after two hours on the phone. He reassured me he would call me back on Friday detailing how he would compensate me for the inconvenience and resolve the issues. When I hadn't heard from him by 4pm on Friday I called back - apparently he was going to call me in the next ten or fifteen minutes. His resolution was to replace the units I had sent pictures of, and some money to cover the fitters' fees. At this point he pointed out the advice is to not book the fitters until the kitchen had arrived and been inspected. I queried how big his house was that he thought it feasible for me to store a new kitchen whilst an old kitchen is in place and why the onus was not on Wren to deliver a product fit for installation. Unfortunately, the supervisor/manager had not at this stage planned any real way to compensate us for the fact that every unit needed replacing and he continued to insist that he needed photos of each item to be replaced. I am waiting for a call back from both him and the Ombudsman on Monday to discuss next steps. I will be happy to update this review if a satisfactory outcome is reached but at this point Wren have left a family of four without any means for cooking, washing dishes, freezing food or having space to move around due to the number of units that remain in their packaging. I was not contacted as promised so I am not optimistic that I will be contacted on Monday. As it stands I would actively urge people to get their kitchen from somewhere else - the planning (selling) in the shop was brilliant. The delivery was straightforward. But everything involved in having a kitchen that can be used and is worth the money paid and rectifying problems has been abysmal and required huge levels of effort on my behalf, whereas I think given the situation I have sent evidence of Wren should have been going out of their way to resolve the situation. Very, very poor.

Such a shame we must have been one of the few with the most terrible experience. Filled with hope when we went to design our kitchen with Ian, everything was planned out and we came away feeling confident and listened to on our idea. That was about the only positive thing to come out of this experience. When it came to fitting we were given a date to start and told a fitter would contact us to arrange a wall adjustment. A couple weeks before installation he decided to inform us he could not fit a new wall with load bearing. We then had to reschedule to a different installer and have the wall done independently. No structural change was necessary so this decision must have been made on a guess. We took delivery of the kitchen and the team were very professional and delivered everything with care. Once it came to fitting it turned from a dream kitchen to a stressful nightmare. Everything was cut wonky as per the pictures, the worktops were and one still is uneven and has left a ridge, the attached pictures are supposedly acceptable silicone, and corners were cut repeatedly. Having complained to the area manager (Adam!) we were met with a very rude and opinionated know it all who we advised to remove the whole kitchen as we had lost complete faith. The cupboards were fitted so high even people above 6ft couldn't reach the top of them so we asked them to be lowered to the agreed specifications. Adam then rudely advised this was not going to happen and when we asked to speak to someone else above Adams head we were met with the fact that he is the top dog. Upon revision Adam then decided our installer could actually change this. Hence the above picture of the hole in the wall above the cupboard that was left open after the cupboard was moved down. We had a kitchen and utility fitted and both sinks leaked, we found that the rubber washer was twisted on both U bends causing leaks. Cupboard doors were wonky and it seemed to go unnoticed. There was a mistake made in a large piece of splashback so that was material wasted at our expense which hadn't been admitted to we had to find it. The water meter was not taken into account upon measuring the kitchen which delayed us. Upon moving things into the kitchen once it was finally at a point to do so as a very tired mother of a newborn I sat and cried at how my dream kitchen has become an amateur nightmare. No apologies and when I called into customer care for Wren they really don't seem to care. Absolutely would not recommend. Shame on Wren for making it all about money and not decent work! And Ian seemed to be away from his office as we called in to discuss multiple times so I guess once the money has been secured you're on your own!

This was the second time that we have used Wren after moving into our new house. As we were so impressed the first time we wanted to use Wren again and we were not disappointed. The kitchen designer, (Gavin), was excellent. He listened to our ideas, made suggestions and came up with solutions to make the best of our space. His level of attention, availability to answer any questions and his general customer service was excellent. The same can be said for the delivery service. We have now have an amazing Kitchen, that is ergonomically practical, meets our needs and is very stylish. I would not hesitate to recommend Wren.

O/N 36890659 Start to finish experience was very good with only a couple of hiccups that were sorted to our satisfaction with with Wren. Kitchen showroom was clean and informative and the designer was a good listener and offered reasonable advice where required and put us in touch with our excellent installer and his team. A convenient time was arranged for the installation of our new kitchen and utility room which (including the removal of the existing fittings and some electrical and plumbing work) was all done very quickly and efficiently and without too much hassle. As I say the only hiccups were an out of stock double oven and the wrong upstands, but with contact with Wren from ourselves and the installer these things were sorted and to our satisfaction. Because the design of our kitchen and utility room was uncomplicated and not custom made we found the experience ok.

Complete kitchen rebuild and install. Installer and all at Wren made it easy, professional and efficient. Delivery was excellent. Installer (Myles) went above and beyond. From start to finish cannot complain one bit. Excellent service all round, but also a great price.

Have had our new kitchen for 6 months now and we are both really pleased with it. The whole wren experience was excellent from planning to completion with only a few minor issues which were dealt with very quickly. I would highly recommend this firm.

We decided to have our kitchen done around this time last year. My husband and I booked appointments with 4 kitchen companies and honestly expected Wren to be the most expensive. We were pleasantly surprised with quote and quality of the products. Wren offer a vast selection of kitchen styles and colours at different prices to suit all. Our designer was very good and we chose our kitchen and planned for building work to commence in January 2021. Once a wall had been taken out Wren visited to take final measurements and adjusted the design accordingly. When everything arrived we noticed we had been sent the incorrect handles but the Wren customer service team were very good and sent out the correct handles within a couple of days. We are thrilled with our new kitchen. The quality is excellent and the price and ability to use 0% finance if needed is also great. Thank you Wren
