   Booked table no problem arrive get drinks find table for 4 Directly under a football tv screen right next to a childrens pick up game thing so children running round every few minutes. Then the meal previously we have been and really enjoyed the meals but my son was happy with his but 2 meals of the steak and ale pie no way nothing like before meat filing good but the pastry was awful nothing but stodge and very floppy and damp, and my meal was really spoilt by the boiled onions which instead of putting on the side had put Gammon on the top which totally ruined the taste of the gammon and the chips were very dry.and why put peas in a ramakin you cant get then out. So no really quite disappointed.

   Excellent bar,restaurant type place. Ideal for a round of fish and chips on a Friday,and at the bargain basement price! Extensive menu and selection of beers. Outdoor seating area and large car park. Friendly,helpful staff. Well worth a visit!

   We used the larger of the two function rooms for our athletics clubs awards evening earlier this month and compared to other venues, it was great value for money. The room was of a good size, well set out, with plenty of seating/tables, a large well stocked bar, stage, DJ booth and a big dance floor. The hot/cold buffet offering was varied and tasty, with plenty of options for all, including those with dietary requirements. All in all it was a great evening and based on our experience, I would definitely recommend using the Festival Inn and their functions rooms.

   Very disappointed!! Service for food was extremely slow. When we asked where the food was, the staff apologised, and initially offered us a free drink....but then the food turned up soon afterwards, they changed they mind and rescinded the offer, even though we'd waited nearly an hour. To compound matters, the food was only like warm when it arrived. Whilst the delay was poor, the offer of drinks would have appeased our party, but to then not deliver it having agreed to provide isn't was simply appalling. Whilst the menu was different, the customer service means we won't unfortunately be rushing back.
