Nice pint of beer. Lovely location and large beer garden. Recently revisited and stopped for a pint whilst out walking. Great stop off point if walking along the nearby Grantham Canal.
Can’t fault it. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, unreal food at such a reasonable price! Definitely need to go back here
Hands down the best fish pie and veg I've ever had, it's like the chef was my best mate and knows how I like my food. Fantastic little village, perfect for a pint after a walk. We'll definitely be returning.
This pub is on my doorstep so I was hoping to be able to write an unequivocally glowing review. On the plus side the staff are genuinely friendly and pleasant and there is a good selection of beers. The food ( Sunday lunch) however was a tad disappointing. Not hot enough (which I’m sure can be easily remedied) and a little lacking in inspiration or sophistication. I really hope it’s a great success (they’re nice, willing people) but for that to happen I fear it needs a great chef.
We came here for my wife's 40th birthday after having a table cancelled last minute. We called them and they accommodated 8 of us with no problem. The food, service and ambience was top notch. The live band even sang a song for my wife on her birthday. Such a lovely touch. We will definitely be back. Thanks for making our night one to remember.
A Saturday evening dinner for two. The food was fantastic. My partner would have liked a little more sauce with her fish... such a minor thing. The staff were lovely. A nice surprise was live music in the bar. It was good enough to make us stay for the rest of the evening. Great atmosphere.
Lovely interior. However the portion sizes were very small for what you pay for. They could of had a bigger food selection as we asked for a chip butty and they didn’t have that. Otherwise it’s a alright pub.
Lovely Marston’s pub in rural Notts. Nice place to watch some cricket. Lovely beer garden and ample parking.
