Lovely little place, it's definitely improved since we last came a few years ago. I understand it's changed hands and somebody has finally made an effort with the outside area, which was absolutely needed. It's very clear that someone knew has taken over, when we last came it was tacky and unwelcoming. This time round it was just a nice vibe. There was a big table beside us of people I assume were regulars, and they added to the nice friendly atmosphere. We ordered 3 x lemon meringue and coffee, both very nice. It wasn't that busy so I can't understand why it took almost 25 minutes to come out, unless they were hand squeezing the lemons and waiting for the chickens to lay their eggs. That was a bit frustrating. Other than that, staff were very friendly and we'd definitely come back again.

Sunday roast was delicious. We both had the beef and it came with a very tasty assortment of veg, honey carrots, parsnips, broccoli, roast & mash potatoes and a pot of gravy each, even a homemade Yorkshire pudding. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We left feeling full and even took home some of the rhubarb from their garden. Looking forward to visiting again. Recommended for a relaxing meal that doesn’t cost the earth. Enjoy.

I have just spent and afternoon here raising money for the local play group and the place was good, plenty of support. I was embarrassed to win some money and returned 30 of the 50. Which was the aim of the game. Returned back to campsite a happy bunny. Excellent staff good food sunny day a great place all round.

My partner and I popped in for a bite to eat whilst in the area, and it was lovely from the moment you stepped through the doors. The decor was nice, a hint of vintage but still in the modern era. The bathrooms were decently sized and looked nice. And the food. Well both our meals were amazing, filling and filled us both with pure joy. The staff were also so kind and had a nice attitude, so made it feel lovely. Will definitely be going here again when in the area :)

A really lovely homely feeling pub. Incredibly friendly staff. Cheap beers in happy hour (£3/ pint). Could take my dog in too after our walk

Waiting staff came across rude, on their phone behind the bar. No baby changing and even though they may not of been serving food, it came across more that she couldn't be bothered to go to the kitchen.
