The best cafe in Belfast!! Ive been going to this cafe for a while now and have always enjoyed my meal Yesterday me and my partner and my Shih Tzu were doing some christmas shopping and got hungry so suggested we all go here as the food is always good so i asked the amazing lady who i assume is the chef/owner if we could bring our dog in and she gracefully let him join which we all were grateful for before we sat down the nice lady give us menus and i went for my usual which is the sesame cold noodles which are a must try and my partner went for the new orleans wings and my sesame noodles were are delicious and the wings were coated in this delicious sauce which was sweet and savoury and we asked could we perhaps order the dog three sausages and she was sweet enough to let us order them and very kindly cut them up for fonzie and he enjoyed them while we enjoyed our meals and the boss lady was so kind!! if your looking for a wholesome cafe and kind staff look no further as yolo cafe delivers everything and more they have always been so nice and polite and the food is amazing!!!

Ordered beef ramen here (Rib and Brisket). All good and tasty. Service is quick and lady serving us was friendly and accommodating. Note: no drinks bought outside to be consumed here and there are limitations on time if your thingking doing some school/office work like other cafe. I think limit is 1hr max but all posted inside anyway. We recommend and will be back.

In my years of dining across the United Kingdom - I've always been drawn to quaint, local, family-owned cafes above all else. Seldom is the case that I come across such a gem as Yolo Café! From the moment I walked in, I could immediately see the care, compassion, craft & time that had gone into building up the Café from its design to the menu itself. We (my partner & I) took a moment to look at the décor - the hanging wooden art pieces on the wall, the choice of lighting & fixtures, the style as a whole, reading deeply through the menu. With the sole purpose of continuing our tradition of writing up reviews of places just like this! To say the least, already, we found a Café with character & heart behind it, in a city such as Belfast - it's a beautiful sight. When we approached the counter, Louis (apologies if I misspelt) smiled & offered us both a menu while serving another customer. It made for a very 'sit, relax & take your time environment, which for my partner, who has Autism & Anxiety, was a blessing, but we had already thought ahead. I waited a moment for the customer ahead of us to order before proceeding with our own; two regular fry-ups with an extra side of beans (alteration), one coke-cola & one peach tea from the fridge. (I want to add that during this time, a customer needed a phone charger & Louis offered his own without question) We went to sit at the centre table, so we had a better view of the surroundings once our order had gone through. I know that I fell in love with the sense of spirit the Café held the moment I sat down & it seems other customers did too. As we waited, we overheard a few different groups of people discussing the cafe & their reasonings for coming back, which was nice to overhear! I, however, am a massive 'foodie' & am quite the interrogator of my meals. When the food arrived, it was brought-out by a friendly, well-mannered lady who really did remind me of a mum-who-loves to cook - it was great, & Louis who'd offered us any extras we may need, such as sauce. It wasn't just their service but the emotion behind their service that really empowered the experience. I immediately went to 'work' & I was not disappointed in the slightest. Taking a moment to prepare I cut deep through the egg - which was to near perfection! The yolk was just runny enough to dip into, but no seasoning was necessary either as the flavour of the yolk was strong - showing that it was clearly either bought fresh or stored correctly. I knew straight away I was in for a 'cooked-with-love' type meal, which is the experience many want from a heart-warming meal! The sausage was well cooked with a slight crisp, piping hot throughout - my partner enjoyed it so much he joked about going back for more. It did come with Bacon, which was cooked through properly but with no crisp, however, as mentioned prior they seem happy to make minor alterations & I'm sure if I'd asked for crisp they'd of provided it - I wanted an authentic & simple experience & even then the bacon was just that, authentic, with a slight saltiness to it. Possibly how it was made, or the batch - I will not know but it was nice & light either way. The carbs were plentiful in the form of thick soda bread & went down with the beans well, all in all before I even finished my meal I had to tell all about the diamond in the city that is Yolo. We'll be back for more of the delicious, well crafted food and atmosphere.
