After travelling for 6 hours from Wales I needed somewhere to stay. This was on bookinging.com for £34 before my phone cut off, so I didn't get to book. I went in through the back entrance and a dirty kitchen. No reception desk. I eventually found the landlord. He demanded £60 cash, he did not give me a receipt. The room looked ok, the snag was SHARED Bathroom. I expressed shock, he assured me that it was shared with him and 2 others like that makes it acceptable. I asked about breakfast he said what breakfast. I should have left there and then but was too tired Then a girl from upstairs came down, wanted hugs and kept holding my hand with her sticky hands. She was refusing to leave the room, she kept telling me stories about losing her parents and pretended to cry. I finally managed to get to the bathroom really dirty, awful toilet seat covered in.... the sink had rusty tabs. She came in followed by the landlord. I told them both that it was a very strange place. The room did not have a lock inside, anyone could come in. Again the host assured me that he was the only one who has the combination for the outside lock, like it is ok. It was a night from HELL. I was so scared, couldn't not sleep. He was in the room next door with a loud television and on the phone until the early hours. There was a shouting session with one of the guests about opening the fridge. Most unprofessional and horrible place, I would not wish it on anyone. How a place like this is allowed to operate?????

I struggled to get out the back door it was heavier than i expected (caretaker had let me in when I arrived) and I felt patronized when I spoke to the owner on the phone. I didn't feel safe there after that and didn't stay overnight in the end. It's a simple, clean and adequate room though.

My review for this place is long overdue. I stayed here in August 2019 as a family of five as my father had a business meeting. We needed a hotel urgently and found this place via bookings.com. Let's begin. The pricing is decent. We were given the largest bedroom on the top floor. The carpark is a disaster. We had issues fitting our toyota corolla! So we had to take up two skinny bays and move the car everytime someone wanted to enter or exit. The bedroom. One bed was broken. We found a dead moth on the wall which my mum scraped off almost instantly and got rid of it. The bed sheets should be cleaner. It was decent. The microwave was dirty but worked. The tv worked too, which was surprising, lol. The bathroom. We took our own soap and left it there. I can't recall if they already had any. The greatest issue in the bathroom was the shortage of toilet tissue and the light that kept switching off literally every minute. And there's no windows so you're waving your hands in the air for the lights to switch back on lol. There's cracks in the floorboards and the shower isn't fully finished building and doesn't fully work either. Oh boy, the cold water! We hardly had warm water!! Someone else on this page has posted a photo of the shower, have a look for yourself. Would I visit again? Not really. But I'd be so grateful if this feedback is taken into consideration. The owner is great, very helpful and incredibly easy to get along with. Thank you for having us. Even though I'm writing this almost a year later. Lol.

Facilities are good. Room isn't immaculate and shared bathroom is functional not luxury. The limited experience I had with colleagues was fine and overall a pleasant easy stay. Would stay again if circumstances dictated in the area.

Hated it here. Building work unfinished, dust everywhere, bedding with hair and dust on it...glad we brought our own bed linen and towels. We had to clean the place ourselves. No safety procedures in place, no certificates to say electrics and gas were safe. Some electrical sockets broken. Carpets dirty, bathroom dirty, flooring in some rooms unfinished. Owner at first was rude and unapologetic, although after much discussion and because we cleaned the property, he replaced some faulty appliances and left a gift to say sorry. Pictures on website must have been doctored or are old ones...misleading. Do not recommend at all. Worst place we've stayed in.
