This is a fun Irish pub. I was there on a Thursday night to listen to some traditional music. I was not disappointed of course they have Guinness as well as other beers on tap. And several different traditional cocktails.
Love this traditional Irish bar. Best in Belfast. The Guinness is fantastic, believe me, you'll not get better in the city, and I have tried most of them. Bar is small and gets very busy at times, but this all adds to the atmosphere.
Maddens is your traditional old school Belfast pub. Strictly no frills. Totally not fancy. Strictly perfect. Fast and efficient service from behind the bar. Friendly patrons who are quick to strike up a conversation. Noise level that makes conversation easy. Reasonably bright lighting. Prices that are gentle Centrally located. A real relaxed vibe. Put Maddens on your list of essential stops on a night out.
Madden’s is a hidden gem in Belfast, known for its cozy vibe, strong traditional Irish music, and local crowd. No-frills, full of soul, and rich in culture. A perfect spot for a pint, a tune, and a true feel of Belfast’s folk spirit.
Surprised that the door was locked...pressed the doorbell and just as we were about to leave, the door buzzed and we entered a small pub. I understamd the owner does not like to allow it to get too full. A great night, great people and the Guinness was perfect.
This is a place for locals to catch up and for tourists to experience a great pint of the black stuff, and it is the best pint in Belfast. Sorry to the other fab bars around but Madden's is my bolt hole. Busy at the weekends but during the week is my favourite time or Saturday afternoon 1pm to early evening. Magical
If there's better Guinness in Belfast I've yet to find it.
Proper traditional Irish bar vibe! The Guinness is probably the best I've had in Belfast. Highly recommended!
A little bonus pub treat due my flight being cancelled so I had a few more hours to kill in Belfast. Madden’s offers some of the best traditional live Irish music in the whole of Belfast, it also serves up some the best Guinness in town as well. Also the landlord Brian kindly came down and gave me a tour and a history lesson about the pub - which makes you think if these walls could talk the amount of amazing stories you would hear. If you’re after an authentic Irish pub when you’re in Belfast look no further.
