So I was told they keep the cage over the front door as a reminder of how the neighbourhood has improved, fair enough. So if you're a tourist don't be put off by that. It was very welcoming. We came here primarily for the Beamish which was really good.
best pub in Belfast. i come every time i’m in town and it never disappoints. from the staff, the people, the music, the atmosphere. incredible street art in the area as well.
The Sunflower has much to offer. A nice selection of craft beers on tap. I believe nightly music. Friendly folks behind the bar. Cool artwork. A massive back patio. Artisan pizza in the patio. The night we visited the place was packed. It was heavily inhabited by a hipster crowd. It was a Friday night so everyone was in the mood to party. I reckon that you can put The Sunflower in your top 5 list of pubs to visit in Belfast.

Great place. We were staying a Sunday night in Belfast on the way home from the Mourne Mountain Marathon in September so were ready for a good feed and a pint or two after a weekend in the hills. Great cask beer - can't remember what it was but it was very good. Delicious pizzas in the garden. Great service. Great friendly atmosphere. Later when we went indoors there was a music session going on. What more could you want!
We love the Sunflower, its our favourite pub in Belfast. It's laid back, has a great selection of booze and we can't forget to mention the pizza! Popular Bar in central Belfast to meet up with friends. As well as drinks The Sunflower also serves very nice homemade pizzas from its large Pizza oven situated in the corner of the Beer Garden There are 3 areas to relax, the downstairs bar, the Beer garden and the upstairs bar area which is also regularly used as a venue for live music events having a raised stage area. The weekly Folk Club is on a Tbursday evening. Staff are always very pleasant and helpful
Next up was the @sunflowerpub to see the famous gated entrance and the no topless bathing sign, but it has much more to offer than some external eye candy. When you walk through the door you will notice the bar decorated with pump clips, so you know they’re serious about which drinks they service up. The jewel in its green and white crown though is the large beer garden out the back which must be one of the best Belfast. If you find yourself in Lineopolis definitely dive in here for a few cold pints.
Quick friendly service, and a great selection of craft beer (menu attached) available in cans. Managed to find a seat despite being a relatively busy Saturday night - the beer garden is surprisingly big. Unfortunately we'd already eaten else would of loved to have tried to pizzas; they looked and smelled delicious, as well as being reasonably priced.
Got taken to this great spot as part of a craft beer tour. Enjoyed it so much we went back that night. Good range of new & classic beers, decent outdoor space out back and a pizza place in the yard for snacks. Useful spot for groups too.
