Currently staying here at the moment, asked for an extra pillow at reception this evening and was told there isn’t any. The bloke was not very helpful. (The girl was nice and polite when arriving) The shower head won’t stay up, the water will only come out piping hot or freezing cold. Other than that the room is nice and a lovely size!

Do NOT use this 'hotel' if you value your property. They do not have working CCTV despite having cameras on show. Our van with motorbike and bike clothing stolen from their carpark on 4 October 2025. Since been told by social media sharing of our property theft that this place is known in the 'trade'. Take from that what you will. No refund for not staying the two nights - would you stay another night? The place advertises as having a lift - don't believe it. The room was very tired in decor and not very clean as I would expect (dirty window and frame, broken window handles, stained carpet, damaged washbasin, no pillowcases for 2 pillows etc). In their view 3 teabags/3 milk/3 coffee is sufficient for 2 people!! Not allowed to book in before 3pm and no service to be able to wait. Extensive bar? Forget it, my home bar is better stocked. My partner has stayed in some "right dives" and they looked appealing compared to this place. My advice? Give this place a wide berth. (Only gave 1 star so I could put this WARNING on).

Pleasant hotel on the edges of Walsall. The rooms are a little bit tired, but worth the money being asked. The breakfast in the morning was good value and well cooked. The staff were excellent, but the night desk worker deserves a special mention as he was extremely helpful and courteous, especially as we were running late due to problems on our journey.

I paid £35 for a single room for one night, which was very cheap – and it showed. The positives were that the room itself was clean and tidy, and the bathroom was spotless with decent toiletries provided. The water was nice and hot for a shower (though it’s worth noting the bath taps were disconnected). However, the biggest issue for me was security. There didn’t seem to be any controls stopping people from wandering into the hotel and accessing the corridors, which left me feeling quite unsafe throughout my stay. The walls are thin, ceilings creak, and you’ll definitely want to bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. Although my room description mentioned a hairdryer, there wasn’t one. There’s also no TV in the room – not a problem for me as I had my laptop – but it’s worth knowing in advance. WiFi worked fine but wasn’t secure. The car park was functional, no issues there. Overall, while the basics of cleanliness and hot water were met, I was glad to check out. I didn’t sleep well and didn’t feel comfortable. In hindsight, I wish I’d spent more and stayed somewhere I felt safer. Budget-friendly, yes – but at a real cost to peace of mind.

Corridors smelt of smoke, room was shabby and mould in bathroom. Couldn't watch any TV as no channels available. I didnt feel safe either as it looked like they were accommodating illegal immigrants. The staff were very nice and helpful. Good breakfast on offer but I wont ever stay again.

Where do I even start with this hotel! It looked like it wasn't even open. Then we went to our room, the TV was on the corner on the wall couldn't see it while lay on bed. The bath room was disgusting broken toilet seat, wrappers on the floor. The bed was huge and was not comfortable at all. I now have verucas on both feet because of how dirty it was in there! This place isn't nice at all. Avoid going there.

We have stayed twice preciously in this hotels heyday. The website does not represent the current standard of the hotel. The front of the building is now the magistrates Court. The entrance is round the side of the building into a cluttered small reception area with the bar and breakfast area in one place. The room was dated with dirty carpet, damaged furniture, broken tiles in the bathroom and shower head not working correctly. We were a family only 1 seat provided. Breakfast was hot and the team courtious however the whole area seemed a place for the staffs family and children to congregate. Its very sad to revisit and see what a once lovely hotel has become. gather t courtious I the room w

Nice room, comfortable bed. The painter needs a lesson on avoiding light switches, cutting in and finishing off. Bathroom needs an update, cracked tiles etc. Breakfast was plentiful but extra to the room. It was fit for purpose and value for money.

Our room was dusty. Stains on ceiling, walls, carpets and, the curtains were badly stained with what resembles poo! Main doors locked at midnight! No staff during night! Extremely noisy evening from rooms above. Very disappointing. Won't be staying again
