Recently tried the food here for the first time, it was amazing!! Got the Christmas spiced bag which was delicious - a must try! Also loved how unique the menu was compared to other places. The desserts are also fab. Atmosphere was cozy and Christmassy, servers were friendly and attentive. Couldn’t have had a nicer experience and will definitely be back.

We ate dinner upstairs on this restaurant. The food was good but just as good as other restaurants we had eaten here in Belfast. I had the fish and chips which could have used some salt in the batter (like other restaurants in Ireland) My friends had the lamb, salmon and hamburger.

Brilliant food and atmosphere, also serving a lovely cider called angry orchid. Went back the next day for another pint!

Well I was going to see the Belfast Giants so decided to have a sunday lunch before and this place came highly recommended. I have marked the service 3 stars this is reserved for the person at the carvery who went above and beyond the food was very nicely cooked and was melt in the mouth delicious. The only reason I have marked it down was I asked for mustard to be told they dont have any by what I presume was a manager. I then was asked by serving staff about ten minutes later how the food was I told her great as it was, but how can they not have mustard when serving beef. She looked at me like I had lost my mind and went off to return with a pot of mustard. Slightly bizarre from the manager. Anyway I heartily recommend the carvery it was heaped and not one part of it was under or over cooked. Very good value for money. Again the waiting and guy who served the food are the reason I wouldn't hesitate to go again.

Went in the week between Christmas and New Year on our trip to Belfast. The outside looks cool but that’s about it. The restaurant is upstairs and once we entered the dining room, the service staff were rude, told us to wait for a table, as we had 5, when we asked if we could order drinks while waiting, we are rudely told no, when seated it took a while to order drinks and food. General vibe was inattentive. The food selection was okay, the corn ribs were good, probably the best thing with a good flavor. We ordered the large bread starter and it had basic white slider buns on it to dip into oil and a whipped butter style sauce. When we asked what the sauce was the wait staff simply replied, “I don’t know”. The fish and chips seem to be a good size but are tasteless and either overcooked or the oil needed changing. The chicken burger was okay, but lacked any really flavor. The fact that they charge £1 to switch your potato side( fries, chunky chips, mash etc) is crazy and meant we had to get creative with who wanted what and what was their assigned side on the menu and then when the food arrived we did swaps to avoid potentially a £5 addition for no reason. When we were finished, again the servers took ages to clear the plates and for the price I was disappointed. The restrooms weren’t clean, missing soap and paper. Overall a bit disappointing as this was my pick for lunch for our trip. To note- they responded to my review. Asked me to email them, I did and then they never emailed back.

Three visits and two meals here, each time very successful. One afternoon stop for a quiet drink and two evening meals. Menu is small but perfectly formed. Two shared starters, four main courses and two shared desserts, each course excellent and clean plates. Reasonable prices for food and beers, couldn't fault food, drinks or service. Well worth a visit on any visit.

2 hours left in belfast before flight. Needed a city centre last lunch. This trad simple straightforward pub served good Guinness and decent Irish food with friendly staff.

I’m so sorry I forgot to tip!! But honestly this is hands down a brilliant place for food. I took my 8 year old and 4 month old and they were lovely; so accommodating and interacting with my youngest. The true Irish spirit, I loved it!
