It is a beautiful building with great character. As an accommodation of Hostel type it is well cleaned and maintained. Great location as museums and Ironbridge is not far from there and the hostel is perfect for group overnight stays.

Great YHA, in lovely historic building. It's only available to group bookings. Rooms are spacious and with high ceilings. Showers a bit hit or miss with water flow, water was always hot, experienced a leak onto staircase. Recycling bins poorly labelled, located a long way away and were virtually full before we arrived. Difficult turn into carriage driveway with very steep drive up to house. Very little usable outside green space. Internet failed after a day, no phone signal in/around YHA.

Showers were like a small splash of water and hot and cold. Rooms ok, nice and tidy.

Great hostel for a large group on sole hire. Large lounge, dining area and kitchen. Enough parking for 10 cars. Showers are useless though!

There wasn't any reception in the first place. The rooms need to be a lot bigger with space. In addition, the rooms could have been painted and could have been cleaned before we entered the rooms. Futhermore , the wifi needs to be strengthened throughout the building as the signal gets weaker as you go higher up. There should be a pool table and table tennis as your website has stated but somehow wasnt there when we visited. The location is ok with some nice views , hence the only positive I am going to give you. The wallpapers in all rooms need to be fully changed and painted. The bedrooms sheets had stains on them so a change of sheets would be absolutely perfect. The durability of the bunk beds needs to be tested as a child could easily break them apart. The toliet sensors need to be stronger as there is short powercuts in the toliets every 5 mins or so. There is no garden present which indicates that the website is lying.

I was here with the Outdoorlads group for a weekend. I found the facilities to be extensive and everything clean. I was lucky enough to be allocated one of the single rooms. Slept like a baby.
