I attended The Dental Suite in Nottingham for a consultation to discuss pain management for an ongoing dental issue, as well as to enquire about some potential cosmetic work. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely negative and left me feeling judged, intimidated, and unheard. From the moment I entered the room, I was made to feel uncomfortable and deeply self-conscious about the condition of my teeth. I am fully aware of my dental issues, but I do not believe it is appropriate for a dentist or practice to increase a patient’s insecurity or make them feel ashamed. There was a complete lack of compassion throughout the appointment. There were three people present in the room, and it was not explained who the other two individuals were or why they were there. It later became clear that one person’s role was essentially to “close the sale” on a treatment plan. The entire consultation felt more like a sales pitch than a medical discussion, with significant pressure placed on me by playing on my fears and insecurities, implying that I would need to spend thousands of pounds or risk serious consequences. Close-up photographs were taken without any clear explanation of what was being done or why, which was embarrassing and uncomfortable. Additionally, the dentist was recording the consultation using a microphone without explaining the purpose of this, which further added to the intimidating atmosphere. I explained clearly that I am currently on maternity leave and not earning, and therefore have financial limitations. This was not acknowledged or respected in any meaningful way. I was left with the strong impression that patients are viewed primarily as sources of income rather than as people needing care and understanding. By the end of the appointment, I felt so distressed and overwhelmed by the way I was treated that I left the office in tears. This was not the outcome I expected from a professional healthcare consultation. To make matters worse, it appears that a follow-up appointment has been booked for six months’ time without my consent or authorisation. No one checked whether the date or time was suitable for me. Overall, this was a highly pressurised, uncomfortable, and upsetting experience. I would not recommend this practice to anyone looking for compassionate, patient-centred dental care. Edited to add: I forgot that the sales lady closing the sale mentioned that removing a tooth might be better than a re-root canal to try and save it. Interesting advice....

I have always been so scared of going to the dentist and I found The Dental Suite online as they were good with nervous patients. I attended for my first appointment and Kal and Gina were so lovely and made me feel so comfortable. I cannot recommend them enough.

Terrible experience. I had an initial consultation and was told I’d need to wait three weeks before my next appointment. The receptionist assured me they’d make a note so I’d have time to arrange teeth whitening after that visit. However, when I arrived for my appointment, I was then told I’d need to wait another three weeks just to have my teeth cleaned—before waiting yet again for a further appointment. I would have gladly paid for all services upfront, but if the dentist didn’t plan to include the cleaning at the next session, that should have been made clear from the start. As a professional, you should realise how frustrating this is for clients and ensure expectations are set properly. Very disappointing experience.

I attended The Dental Suite in Nottingham for advice on a tooth that needed work. The first and only treatment option discussed during my appointment was a gold crown, quoted at £1,400 — without offering any alternative solutions. Due to the high cost and lack of discussion about other options, I decided to seek a second opinion. The second dentist explained that, because my existing filling is close to the nerve, a crown could carry a high risk of ongoing pain. They also confirmed that my tooth is still strong enough to retain, and therefore a filling — while not a permanent solution — would be the safer choice. This alternative cost £165 and is expected to last for a few years before needing replacement. Based on my experience, I would advise others to be mindful when making treatment decisions here and ensure you explore all options. In my case, I felt the recommendations at The Dental Suite were not made with my best interests as the priority.

So far my experience has been fantastic. The dreaded root canal treatment. I can honestly say I never felt a thing, during and after. Vikesh and Claire were amazing and made me feel very much at ease. Highly recommended the Dental suite! I can't wait to see the final result!

This is my experience visiting the dental suite Nottingham. From the moment you step in you are made welcome by Amy and the reception team. It was then over to Jamie and his dental team to get to work giving me a smile I would be happy with, and this he did. Jamie is very focused on making sure to involve you in what he is doing with the aim of meeting your expectations. If you are thinking of having dentures or implants, this is the place to go. Thank you all at the dental suite Nottingham. Ian Graham.

Friendly dentist. I needed a lot of work done and it was as okay as dental work can be. Not exactly a vacation but they don't sell vacations. Agree with other reviews saying they are good for nervous patients, the staff are lovely. Liked that the work was treated as something routine to get done and not as an opportunity for a lecture! Slightly more expensive than other private dentists in the area but were able to see me much sooner (1 week wait instead of 6; and NHS wait times were basically infinite at the time).

I recently became a new client and have nothing but praise for the Dental Suite. I was given an appointment the next week, had a thorough examination and Xray and the two problems I had were sorted out within 3 weeks. The staff are all friendly and efficient and the place is immaculate! I would recommend to anyone.

We changed to here after our previous dentist changed hands and we were not happy. It was the best move - who knew that you didn’t have to be in pain at the dentist…. I am a very nervous patient and they were so kind to me and understanding - I had a crown fitted - got told off for not keeping the temporary one clean enough but told in a way that really helped me to understand why it was important - and they resolved the issue that I’d created. Extremely patient and sympathetic to me. I can’t stress enough how good they were. Thank you for your kindness, it was so appreciated. Can’t recommend enough.
