We have no idea how the food was, we were sat at a table, as the sign said, that was cleared. Waiting staff came out and went in the opposite direction to where we were sitting to take ordes from people who had arrived after us. We tried to catch the eye of two waiting staff, but to no avail. After waiting for 12 mins no one came, so we went somewhere else. I will say the take away section was fabulous, with the best take away tea I have had in a long time.

I can’t comment on the food, as we didn’t actually get served. What was going to other people looked pretty good though. No wait for a table, but completely ignored by the staff, as were other customers at the top end of the tables. Waited that long that we got up and went elsewhere.

2 x cream teas for £14 is better value here than most other places. Despite being short staffed they were very friendly and got to us in good time. Food was good value for money. Scone was huge!

Weak Cappuccino, they only use 1 shot in a regular size, tasted more like a Latte. Told us we had to order large sizes to get the 2 shot normal Cappuccino (??) Since when does the size of your drink dictate the ‘recipe’ .. would you expect a small coke to use less syrup, or a small tea to use half a teabag? Cappuccino uses 2 shots .. that’s it .. regardless of the size.

What a great coffee house. Bustling with locals and holidaymakers (like us!). Service was a well-oiled machine, and the carrot cake & lemon drizzle were amazing!

Such a lovely place to dine. Always welcoming. I'll always visit Dukes when I'm in the Tavy area. The only trouble is the chilli is so nice I struggle to order anything else from their tantalising menu.

Excellent cafe within Tavistock market. My wife and I had lunch here today. There is plenty of outdoor seating and whilst the menu was short (ideal), the choice of food is delicious and served by friendly and welcoming staff. Highly recommended when visiting Tavistock.

Service was quick and friendly and the menu had a good selection of sandwiches and other lunch items but unfortunately we were all slightly underwhelmed by our food. It was also quite expensive for what it was with each of us paying around £8 for a mediocre sandwich. The location is excellent though and you do get a nice vibe if you're able to sit outside.
