   Deeply disappointing experience. We visited on 28 December. Very, very bad service - waited 1 hour for food and no explanation for the delays. No manager available to complain to from either the restaurant or the adjoining hotel called Minimalist. I had to obtain the manager’s number from the server and call and text the manager who did not reply until we had left. Inadequate kitchen staff numbers meant slow service by the servers. When the food arrived it was very good but cold. This bad management meant many frustrated customers in the cafe. Deeply disappointing experience as we had read excellent reviews of the cafe in Lonely Planet and also received local recommendations. We will not be returning.

   It's OK. Unfortunately, the staff continue, for some time, to chat before serving. It's not just to finish a sentence. They don't even acknowledge you. Once they do, it's good service. Thanks to the owner (see below), the service has improved.

   The best coffee in and around Kingsbridge for sure!! Great food and excellent smoothies - particularly the protein smoothie (a must-try). The staff are mostly friendly, which adds to the welcoming atmosphere. The cafe has plenty of seating both inside and out, so it’s an ideal place to relax and enjoy a meal or a drink. Whether you're looking for a quick t/a coffee or a leisurely lunch, Fika is a great option.

   Good food, good coffee and dog friendly. Falafel wrap was full of healthy salads and came with a fresh side salad. Husband had bacon and egg sandwich, portion was a little small compared to mine but he said the bacon was very tasty and the egg was perfectly cooked.
