Just had a Christmas Lunch at the Volunteer, can I say it was absolutely delicious. Nothing was to much trouble, our table was beautifully decorated. My thanks to the whole team at the pub. We will be back.

Really nice pub food, I had the steak and ale pie and my daughter had the scampi. There was plenty of it and really tasty, with homemade chips. The staff were really welcoming, with the chef coming to chat to us at our table.

Typical village pub..Great. Roy the barman was friendly and accommodating in service…nice chap. Food was home cooking style and great Great atmosphere and cheap beer compared to another pub down the road.. I love the old style of these places..my kind of pub Pygmy goats and chickens in the garden.! It had what some pubs lack and that is..that the locals actually talk to you and I like that. Would recommend if in the area.

It was going through a revamp so I wasn't able to see it in its full glory and taste any food but the pub is much to my liking. I am going to be visiting again as my best friend lives in the village and we may watch a few sport matches which it has on show with the large screens. A nice little looking pub with the usually salts of the earth having a few jars. Pubs are a main stay of UK culture and often its where men are able to meet and catchup and solve the worlds problems and their own. This is one of them and is an essential for the villages community. I hope it remains open in these tough times.

Not welcoming at all. Felt every customer was an effort to serve. Thankfully the very few regulars that were there, were more friendly.

Super friendly pub at the heart of the village! Gorgeous outside seating areas, plenty of cute little hideaways and such a welcoming atmosphere. 10/10 service and food. Really couldn't recommend highly enough. Family and pet friendly.
