Possibly the worst online retailer I've encountered and this the first and last time I do. I went into my local Store to simply buy a pair of Adidas Trainers for my Daughter and I was told they're out of stock in Branch and to order online which I happily did. The item arrived just within time (no problem) but when I opened the outer bag (Evri Courier) I found the cardboard box was crushed in one corner and the base was ripped on box sides and underneath, which clearly means I can't give her these Trainers in that box. There is no way this damage has been caused by the Courier as it would have required total mishandling and a large weight on the box to cause it. I know this particular Courier as she is Independent and not one that uses a Van like some do. When I contacted Sports Direct Customer Svces all I got was a virtual bot who was about as much use as a chocolate teapot. They didn't even apologise for the inconvenience, which in my estimation is very poor Customer Service. I am now having to find and pay for a Training Shoe sackpack to put them in otherwise my 11yr old Daughter will be upset if I give her goods in a box that looks like a big Dog has been sleeping on it for a week..!! If a minus score on reviews was possible, you'd certainly qualify.

Absolutely appalled by the staff members in Sports direct. My disabled dad who only has one leg rarely gets out and he was trying to find some new trainers. We had no help, they was extremely rude, especially the tall gentleman with beard. I understand everyone gets busy and have multiple things to do as I work part NHS/retail but the store wasn’t that busy and all they was doing was talking and making customers wait ages! I feel like they need some courses in good customer service. Just shocking.

Sports Direct Cannock located on the retail park is based between B&Q and Jysk. parking is available directly Infront of the shop, but it is very limited. Most customers park on the B&Q Car Park due to it being much larger and easier to navigate. The store is well lit to highlight its products. The store is packed with many many items, you can't move without being in inches of product. The Football short selection is very poor, for some reason they now stock Manchester City tops in Cannock. You can't buy a Walsall shirt or many of the local clubs with the exception of the Aston Villa. Shirts are the same prices as you would pay in any club shop. The trainers are also quite high priced and many of the designs are the exact same as they were in the 90s overall the shoe, trainer and whole footwear selection is very limited. However this is the main draw for consumers to come to the shop. The staff vary greatly from overbearing to kind and pleasant. When young women enter the shop the staff are far more attentive. However this criticism is more around the employment policies than the employees themselves. Game is now located in the back right of the shop. However despite Game closing its retail units and making huge savings those savings are not being passed onto the customers. games are much cheaper online. Service is quite quick in game due to the lack of customers. Board games, funkos and figures are crammed into the small space. Overall Sports Direct has a lot of selection, but the prices are now high street prices, don't be fooled by false sales advertising. The pricing is driven by the lack of competition in the market. There is a wide selection of kids sporting attire and clothing. So Sports Direct is good for quickly picking an item up. However you should always be aware of what your giving your money too.

Visited there Saturday afternoon, it wasn’t that busy but the staff were fed up and incredibly rude, clearly they don’t want customers to ask them for anything which is difficult when they work on the footwear dept. Stock and choice wasn’t great, I was told β€˜yer we might have some in around the store but it’s just finding them’ !!! Well that’s why I’m asking you the store assistant!!

Not good experience as I wanted to buy 2 items that had a tag on them saying 2 for Β£16 and once I got to till they charged me separately for the items as the barcode was not the same on each item lol. As both items were from the same area and same designer this is not good promotions for the store, once spoken to the manager he was not helpful at all and very rude ( not good for the store in Cannock) will not be returning

Lots of items to choose from, wish the gold section was a bit bigger and also catered to women but otherwise staff were friendly and helpful.

Went here yesterday to buy a pair of trainers. After seeing a pair that I liked I asked an assistant if they had my size. She then asked her colleague to check. After a couple of minutes a clearly disinterested staff member walked past me and said" nah we ain't got a size 10 mate, sorry mate"and couldn't even be bothered to make eye contact with me or offer me an alternative. Totally wrong attitude to have and shouldn't be in the job
