   Usually quite like calling in here because there’s random bits and bobs I need but today will probably be the last time. Unfriendly customer service, overcharged on two items and not even so much of a thank you. Really uncomfortable interaction, take your money elsewhere.

   Our local hardware store with almost everything you will need, obviously a little more expensive than B&Q or Screwfix, but then you don't have to waste money and time driving to them. The staff are super helpful and pretty knowledgeable. 9 times out of 10 I get exactly what I need. They have a decent range and a big selection of things. Deffinately got there first.

   A treasure trove in Comber. Aladdin's cave of wonders lol. They go all out at Halloween and Christmas. A great place to grab a bargain all year round. I'll always try here first before anywhere else.

   Hardy's usually have what I or the Mrs want. I was dispatched today to get keys cut.all done politely and efficiently by a young girl behind counter.another took the money. The keys fitted perfectly for locks four keys. Pleasant people and helpful. Much better than multiples with poor standards as experienced in B&Q a few times

   I called just after 4pm today to buy some top soil. I explained to the young lady at the cash desk that I was parked in the disabled bay and couldn’t drive down the badly maintained road at the side of the premises to collect the bags of soil. I asked her if they could be brought to the front of the shop and I would carry them down to my car which was parked less than 10 metres away. The young lady went to find out. A moment later a short, shaven headed man came up to me and in an abrupt manner asked what I wanted. I again explained that I was parked in the disabled bay just down from the shop and wondered if the small bags of soil could be brought up from the shop store so that I could carry them individually to my car. In a rather disparaging, arrogant tone the man told me that I had to reverse down the side of the business and collect them from the shop warehouse. I told him I couldn’t do this as I was parked in a disabled bay. I didn’t want to go into greater detail as I was embarrassed having to explain my disability in the middle of a shop with other customers about. He replied that this is what I had to do. I then said that I will take my business elsewhere if this is the attitude of the staff. He told me that that was fine, do that! I am disabled and due to neck injuries find it very difficult to reverse my car, especially down uneven inclines such as the one at the side the hardware store. This shaven headed employees attitude and total lack of empathy is why family run businesses are closing down. No customer service, no attempt to find out why I asked this even after I informed him I was parked in a disabled parking space close to the store. His brusk and ignorant tone is a real shame and shows a lack of manners and also no business sense. I am all for supporting local stores, but I will not be back to this shop again. I would rather deal with B & Q. Courtesy is an essential quality and one that will smooth many a path. Avoid!
