My daughter really enjoys her swimming lessons at Puddle Ducks. The class is high pace which is great for a 30 min session and doesn’t feel rushed, the teachers are very engaging and making the lesson fun, safe and enjoyable. I’m really glad we joined your lessons
Puddle Ducks has been a amazing experience for me and my wife, both for bonding with our daughter (Skye) and getting her comfortable in the water. We started Puddle Ducks with the intention of when we go on holiday she would be okay with water. We went to Butlins last week and when we took her swimming she had the best time, relaxed and smiling the entire time. Laura and Nikola have been amazing at making her lessons enjoyable and memorable. The catch up system also made it really easy to cancel and rebook classes around doctors appointments or some of her first Jabs.
Our little boy, W, began with Puddle Ducks in November last year, and the progress he has made since then has been astonishing! His growth in confidence in the water has been remarkable - he never used to like being splashed and now he's the one doing all the splashing! Puddle Ducks have allowed us to enjoy real family-fun in the water as W takes his new-found confidence outside of the teaching pool. His teacher, Lizzi, has been exactly what W needed to help him become a little independent swimmer, offering him encouragement, praise and sound advice; he now looks forward to his swimming lesson each week. We couldn't be more thrilled or more grateful!
Pam is our daughter’s first swimming teacher and we really hope she can continue to be throughout Norah’s Puddle Ducks journey. We were nervous in Norah’s first Floaties lesson but Pam was excellent at putting us at ease and making sure we all felt safe and confident in the water. Norah, only five months old, is happy to be held by Pam and really enjoys herself during her lessons. Pam is always so lovely and welcoming to the classes. Due to Pam’s excellent teaching, we are now super happy and confident to take Norah swimming on our own. We would recommend Puddle Ducks to any parents!
I've had the pleasure of enrolling both my children, now aged 18 months and 4 years, at Puddle Ducks Nottingham, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment we started, it was clear that Puddle Ducks prioritizes both fun and safety in their lessons. Over the past four years we've had several instructors – Pam, Alex, and Nicola – who are truly fantastic. Their patience, enthusiasm, and expertise creates a positive and encouraging learning environment. They are clearly passionate about what they do, and this shines through in their teaching. Both my children have made significant progress in their water confidence and I think regular swimming has helped a lot with their strength and physical development. The structured lessons and engaging activities have helped them develop essential swimming skills. I've been particularly impressed with how the lessons have translated into real-life safety skills. My younger child, especially, has benefited immensely, instinctively using the "turning onto her tummy" technique when climbing down from heights during everyday activities (like getting down from chairs, and at soft play). This alone has given me immense peace of mind. Puddle Ducks Nottingham has proven to be a very worthwhile investment in my children's safety and development. The combination of excellent instructors, a well-structured program, and a focus on water safety makes it a top choice for swimming lessons. Dear Parents, be careful, bring your child to this swimming course if you are sure you can attend all the lessons, otherwise you hardly get any refund. My daughter was ill most of the autumn and winter, and we had 17 lessons paid in advance. I asked them to stop monthly direct debit until we take all the paid lessons, but the answer my enquiry: "you have 13 courtesy class vouchers on your account. These vouchers do not hold any cash value and can't be used to extend your paid for lessons. These vouchers are offered as a gesture of goodwill only." Disgraceful company! Do not waste your money!
My husband and I signed up to Puddleducks with our first born as something nice to do with our new baby, we decided to give it one term, but we enjoyed it so much we booked again, and again, and again! The lessons (and our teachers!) became part of our week, and we all looked forward to it. Our daughter went through a long period of being scared of the water, even baths were a challenge, but our lovely teachers guided her (and us!) through it, taking the time to build a rapport with our little girl and fast forward a few years, our 5 year old achieved her 10 metre distance swim today!!!!! We are obviously thrilled but more importantly she is proud of herself, and safe in the water. We have joined and left so many activities over the years but Puddleducks/Swim academy will always be a highlight of our week :)
I cant rate Puddle Ducks highly enough. I have been bringing my niece to lessons on a Wednesday with Nikola. She has been fantastic with both myself ( a very nervous Auntie ) and my Niece. We love our time in the pool. Becky in the office was extremely helpful when booking our lessons and guided me through the process from start to finish! Cant recommend them highly enough!
My little boy has been attending PuddleDucks Swim Academy for 2 years now. The difference in his water confidence is fantastic, and he loves the lessons and his teacher Nikola. This Summer he went down a water slide all by himself and was super proud!
I cannot rate Puddle Ducks high enough. Having been with them since my 2 girls were only weeks old, I have seen them both develop into being confident in the water and they are still learning and growing in every lesson. Fab classes and teachers that teach safety, survival and lifesaving skills whilst having lots of fun! They love it, would highly recommend.
