I stayed here for one night on business. The room was tired but ok. The check in staff did their job but seemed frustrated at the amount of people queueing to check in (I was part of a large party that had been using the conference room all afternoon). I then had to wait 17 minutes for the one lift that was working (out of three) to drop off the people it had taken up before me, to then be held on one floor for a very long time, to then come back down and have to drop off at pretty much every floor on the way back up, really got my stay off to a disappointing start. The whole process was slow and frustrating after a long drive and sitting in a meeting room for 3-4 hours. The following morning, breakfast was a real let-down. I arrived half-hour after they started serving and all the 'hot' food was cold. I couldn't finish the breakfast, or raise it to staff as they weren't around, aside from someone running in to do something before shooting back out again. After waiting 10 minutes for that one lift to finally move from the 7th floor and come down to take me up to my room, then bring me back down, I checked out and went to find a much nicer breakfast in the city centre. Even a contactless checkout took an agonisingly long time. aside from all that, the bed was comfortable. A tired hotel that gets a fresh lick of paint every now and then. If you want somewhere to sleep, it's fine, but if you want a nice hotel, look elsewhere.

I stay here often for work, and it has become my reliable backup whenever my usual choices β€” the ones with reward schemes or more elaborate gyms β€” aren’t available. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and everything feels solid and consistent. The location is excellent, right in the centre, which makes getting around very easy. The only thing I’d love to see improved is the gym; it works for the basics, but a bit more investment would take the experience to the next level.

Great location, nice room. Initially we were given a room overlooking St James Street which is full of loud bars and clubs, other reviews mentioned the level of noise so we asked to move to the main road side which was done without any issues. Reserved parking which is secure and right under the hotel, Β£20 per night (limited spaces so best to reserve beforehand). Would definitely stay again if we return to Nottingham.

We stayed in the Executive Room - with Sofa Bed. The room size is at average (not too big as an executive room), but the staff are really friendly. We notified them that it’s my birthday and they made a lovely birthday card. And a fruit collection for us. Breakfast is their selling point! It’s a great breakfast buffet - so you got bacon, hash brown, sausage, tomatos, eggs, and a lot of cool appetite. The beverage are amazing as well - organce juice, apple juice, tomato juice, tea, milk, all kind of coffee and hot chocolate. A good selection of bread - unexpectedly excellent breakfast. The car park is Β£20 per night. You will need to contact the hotel and pre book it. I suggest booking through their official website - we selected the β€˜family experience’ deal which Β£93 includes 3 breakfast so it’s quite reasonable as at a Park Plaza hotel!

I stayed at Park Plaza recently for a work trip and honestly the standout part of my stay was the service from Rob. From the moment I checked in, he made sure I had everything I needed and went out of his way to make me feel comfortable. He was professional but also genuinely kind and approachable, and it was clear how hard he works to look after guests. The room itself was lovely – very clean, comfortable, and just what I needed after a long day. No complaints at all there. But what really made the stay memorable was Rob’s effort and attitude. People like him make such a difference, and I really want to highlight how much I appreciated it. Thank you Rob for making what could have been just another work trip into a really positive experience.

Rooms were good and clean, bed comfortable. Parking is in an underground car park beneath the hotel charged at Β£20, its a bit tight but not that bad, there were 4x4s parked down there. Staff were friendly and location for the City Centre bars etc is perfect.

The staff were great, really helpful and they kindly upgraded our room as it was my birthday. We also had an extended check out time which was great as it saved us moving the car elsewhere in the morning. The bar area was nice, we only had drinks but it all looked good. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was huge and comfortable. Also had a large tv with the option of renting a film to watch. Underground parking is secure and easy to locate. Had a lovely stay thanks

Fantastic hotel. Underground bookable parking at a charge. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a hot/cold buffet. The hot food was up some steps, so my family got my hot breakfast. The room was spacious, we had an executive room with a sofa bed. Very clean with smellies, dressing gowns, slippers, etc.

Hot Hot Hot! Requires a night in the presidential suite! Booked last minute after a quick call with Sophie to confirm air conditioning. Arrived and greeted by Luke, check in was a very pleasant experience and they went out of their way to make it pleasurable. They made a huge fuss of our 3 year old giving him a bag with colouring essentials and even his own key. Breakfast was included with the rate and was really nice. Everything was fresh and tasty and staff couldn’t do enough for us. Our room was lovely with a large seating area, two bathrooms, shower and bath. Work area and a king size bed in another room. They made one of the sofas into a bed for our boy and he really enjoyed it. The only negative was that the curtains didn’t close properly in the seating area so he was up at the crack of dawn. Huge thanks to Luke and Sophie! Excellent customer service, something we haven’t witnessed in a UK hotel for a long time.
