Visited on a busy Saturday lunchtime. Service by far the best we have had in any restaurant for a long time. Food amazing as always. Can be loud in there at peak times-which can be a negative when trying to chat, but that’s the buildings fault not the restaurants. We love sitting in the booths but on this occasion was seated in a two seater which is side on to other tables so felt very close.
A very disappointing 2 course lunch menu. Ordered salt and pepper Calamari which was very underwhelming poorly seasoned, overcooked and serve barely luke warm. For my main course I chose the Ribeye, the steak it's self was satisfactory nothing special french fries were hot but the onion accompaniment was greasy and cold the tomato was stone cold. All in all very disappointing I was offered a complimentary dessert. However by this point I'd totally lost my appetite. The young waitress Mica did make me a lovely cappuccino as an apology. And when presented with the final bill there was an £11 deduction. Based on my visit today I would reluctantly return, which is a shame ! Because previous visits have been entirely satisfactory.
Tonight was my first visit to Miller & Carter and certainly will not be the last. The food was amazing and we were served by Chris. What a lovely funny guy. He made the experience even better, thank you.
We recently had a bad experience dining here but were invited back for a complimentary meal by the manager Natalie after she saw my feedback. I can honestly say that our experience this time was far better and more like the usual standard we have had in the past. The food was terrific. The waitress, Megan, was absolutely lovely and made sure all our needs were met. I understand that they were obviously pulling out all the stops as they were expecting us but I honestly really appreciate the fact that she took the time to listen to our concerns and then act upon it and I have no hesitation in returning in the future for another meal.
Very enjoyable meal. Relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Food was lovely and I can't really fault anything. Will be returning and would recommend. Quite pricey but overall good value. I think this would be a good venue for a special celebration.
Was recommended by a friend. It was really good. Was it the BEST steak we've ever had? No. But they were still pretty darn good. The staff were top notch...as was the restaurant itself. All class, except for two things. Paper napkins and serving fries with a steak. I mean, you get some other options, but fries (chips), does not equate to a top notch, pricey restaurant...even in England. Be different. We had the New baby potatoes, which was an option, but they had no seasoning, no butter or parsley, which is the standard. A little underwhelmed, but still recommend eating here.
A wonderful meal made even better by our waitress Pippa. She was attentive, knowledgeable and super friendly. The food was amazing, the steaks cooked to perfection, the potatoes and fries were hot and delicious. The desserts were the best we'd ever had. We can't wait to return!
