The lady served us was amazing, chatty and nice. But the lady show us to our table qnd handed us the bill wasn't very welcoming and ignored us 2 times when we tried to ask for the bill. She might be having a rough day in this time of the year. But anyway it was nice restaurant and food was amazing.
Review for Côte, The Square, Shrewsbury We recently enjoyed breakfast at Côte in Shrewsbury town centre, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly and seated straight away, which set a great tone for the visit. The weather was perfect that morning, allowing us to sit outside and really enjoy our breakfast in the sunshine. We ordered a selection of breakfast dishes, and the portions were very generous — the French toast in particular was extremely filling and topped with delicious fresh fruit. The coffee was strong and full of flavour, and we enjoyed it so much that we couldn’t resist ordering a second round. The breakfast menu had plenty of great choices. The vegetarian breakfast really stood out, with generous portions and tasty veggie sausages that were packed with flavour. The restaurant itself was clean, modern, and fresh, including the bathrooms, which were easily accessible and well maintained. The service was truly first class. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always smiling, regularly checking in to make sure everything was okay and that we didn’t need anything else. We had a wonderful breakfast and are already looking forward to our next visit to Côte Shrewsbury. Highly recommended.
4 of us had a meal here on Wednesday evening. The food was lovely (3 of us had salmon and one had mussels) , followed by delicious desserts. Our evening was made by our server Ana (I think she is the manager) who was so entertaining, friendly and funny. She made us laugh the minute we walked in and we didn’t stop laughing all evening. She also gave us good advice on our choice of wine and desserts. We had a brilliant time and would certainly recommend.
I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Côte in Shrewsbury this weekend, and I can confidently say it was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The food was nothing short of fantastic—beautifully presented, full of flavour, and cooked to perfection. Every course was a delight, from the starters to the dessert. What truly made the evening unforgettable, though, was the exceptional service. Our waitress, Rachel, went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Her warm, friendly manner and attention to detail genuinely made my weekend. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality, and she made us feel incredibly welcome and well looked after. She convinced me to support Liverpool FC. I’ll definitely be recommending Côte to all my friends. Whether you're after a romantic dinner or a relaxed meal with friends, this place delivers on all fronts. Five stars, without a doubt!
Our waitress Roaxanne was amazing, great personality and vibe, I ordered the cote de buef to my self ( quite hungry and as a powerlifter / bodybuilder intake required for the day is high and I haven't eaten for a large majority of the day Usually when someone orders a meal for 2 to them selves this causes issues or their is a silly comment, but not here Roxanne was amazing and professional and advised on the best selection and cooks for our meals with a great sense of humour also. she noticed that the table was going to be too small for the amount of food ordered and offered a larger table with no hesitation moved our drinks to the new table and always checked in on us to ensure everything was satisfactory. customer service was fantastic I had no problem paying the service charge due to this hospitality we was made welcome and looked after Would recommend and definitely would go again we came here randomly while walking through Shrewsbury and the menu looked really appealing so a unintentional visit and came aware amazed

You could think that you are on holiday sitting outside taking in the the historic building's and watching the world go by. Served by a very nice young lady. Service was relaxed no being rushed. I ordered the chicken pork and mushroom terrine with pickles, I found the texture in places a bit mushy due to the mushrooms. It was ok but not the best. My husband had the salmon rillets with capers. In my opinion the capers overtook any flavour of the salmon away. I had a minute steak with fries. Unfortunately it was cold and fries were tepid. It was replaced with a hot steak and fries on a warmed plate. Nothing too exciting about it. Steak was a little on the chewy side. My husband had the rib eye steak which was very good. So swings and roundabouts.
Love Cote - great chain of restaurants with excellent service and great quality ingredients. Staff at the Shrewsbury Cote were very friendly and professional. Recommend a visit if you're in Shrewsbury.
Absolutely fantastic experience here. I have booked online for a special occasion. And I must say the staff that works there absolutely delivered. They made it very special for us. Highly recommended.
Popped in for lunch in town and it took us a little longer than expected ... But with good quality food and friendly service we had a good time! It's position on the square is excellent and if you have a window seat it is great to watch the world happening in the vibrant square. For me, the portion size of the main meal was a little small and slow service meant we were there longer than we thought. But for those wanting a leisurely lunch in a great location with quality food, you can't go wrong!
