Absolutely appalled by the hotel staff. Shockingly uncaring and unprofessional. Be warned – they may cancel your booking before you even arrive, with no consideration whatsoever for your circumstances. Obtaining a refund is deliberately made as difficult as possible. I would only book here again if I wanted to guarantee my night would be completely ruined. Management will not return calls or make any effort to explain the cancellation. A disgraceful level of customer service.

Parking was an absolute joke! Despite being private parking, a game across the way took all FOUR parking spots up. While the venue isnt responsible for all peoples actions, not sure how the 4 spots could even begin to handle just the anticipated guest numbers that the venue could house. The lack of response from the venue was quite surprising, and not to mention, disappointing and frustrating. The hallways were narrow, along with the stair case, making it exceptionally difficult for an overseas passenger to navigate with a suitcase. The bed was a bit rough and hard. Yep, might be on the cheaper side for a room, however not that cheap for the experienced outcome!

Very clean, spacious rooms with good facilities. No complaints. Stairs were steep and thin, so be wary if you have mobility needs, but I did manage with my crutch and my wife to help with luggage. Customer service was great, answered questions happily! Arrive early to guarantee a parking spot, but parking was free. Not wheelchair friendly.

I was pleasantly surprised. It’s a little odd having a hotel with no reception, the first time at least, but everything went exactly according to plan. I was sent the codes for the door and the key the day before I arrived. Everything was spotlessly clean, of good quality for the price, and perfectly comfortable.

I booked the room in advance and paid in full. When I arrived at the hotel at around 3:00 PM, I was shocked to find that a password was required just to enter the building. However, there was no reception desk and not a single staff member on site. I tried calling the support number, and was told that I needed to receive the password by email. As a result, I spent a total of one and a half hours continuously emailing and calling before I finally received the entry code. This was extremely frustrating and absolutely unacceptable for a hotel that has already taken full payment in advance. When I finally entered the room, I discovered that the kettle still had half a pot of water in it, and the glass had lipstick marks on it. This raised serious concerns about the cleanliness and hygiene of the room. Was the room even properly cleaned? Overall, I am very disappointed with my experience. The lack of on-site staff, the unreasonable check-in process, and the poor room hygiene made my stay extremely unsatisfactory.

Horrendous service, my friend payed his deposit and room price and was then told he wasn't old enough to rent the room AFTER paying. Incredibly rude colleague on the phone being 0 help.

It's a nice place to stay if you're not bothered about anything fancy! Practical location has parking, and both fortunately and unfortunately is located in front of McDonald's ahah

Clean rooms recently refurbished. We were in a triple room, slightly odd feeling with the second bedroom off the first so that only access to it was through the first bedroom, but worked OK. Kitchen is shared, but we did not need to make use of it. Very well positioned for sports grounds and Nottingham Forest home turf. Lots of places within walking distance for food and drink.

Great place to stay. Clean, bright and comfortable, with easy parking. Handy shared kitchen. Pleasant half-hour stroll into the city centre, across the river, and along the canal towpath. Never used a self-check-in before, but it was straightforward enough. Recommended.

River Rooms came to our rescue in between selling our house and a delay in buying a new home. Conveniently situated close to West Bridgford with easy access both into Nottingham and beyond, this was ideal for us. The rooms are exceptionally clean, tidy and very well maintained. The separate kitchen facilities with washing machine and fridge freezer an added bonus. Good parking space for those with cars. Garry and the domestic team are regularly on hand to sort things out and offer advice. Many thanks.
