Spoken to a member of staff the previous week about arranging a gift card for Christmas, they said to come down the following week Monday to Friday and they’ll be a member of staff working which will be able to sort this task. Arrive on the Monday (it’s not local to myself) to have the gift card arranged only to be instructed by the member of staff that no one is working today that can sort it. Can I come back the following day? What a waste of my day and time.

Super cute hotel, its a series of houses that have been converted into a hotel so gives a really private feeling. The room we stayed in was clean and tidy, tea and coffee available, slightly on the smaller side but not cramped. The service was lovely, all members of staff we spoke to were friendly. We didnt eat breakfast for head to the bar but that was due to our own schedule. Its a lovely little village type area with plenty of pubs around, we went into the city and it was only a 15 min uber ride away, and the clifton park and ride tram stop is only a 5 min drive so perfect for the morning after checking out if wanting to head into the city. Would stay again

Classic English hotel. Welcoming staff, cosy rooms and a cracking breakfast. Lovely hotel that feels like my childhood in the 1990s . I’ve come back 5x whilst training in Nottingham.

We had our wedding at the Cottage in July, what an amazing venue we stayed 3 days and from arriving the day before our wedding until we checked out the day after, we were not disappointed .Sue and her team had everything covered, nothing is too much trouble for any of them. The evening meal, the breakfasts and the wedding meals were all amazing, some of our guests booked rooms and all of them found them very comfortable and nice and clean. Our whole wedding experience on the day was a lot of work for the team but they delivered and covered all our needs with a friendly smile. Thank you all for making our wedding extra special and many thanks for all your hard work xx This is definitely the best venue if your thinking of getting married, as the Cottage is ideal. Thanks again John & Julie Louden Xxx

Our room was very luxurious, with plenty of space, and very comfortable. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were great and the village of Ruddington is a lovely place to stay in its own right with good pubs, cafes and walks but also easy to access other places. Really recommend this hotel.

Unfortunately I suffer strong allergic reactions to dust... As soon as the heating came on in the room my face exploded, which suggests to me the room was quite dusty. I barely slept sadly. Once I opened the door and let fresh air in, my allergic reaction subsided a little. The room was dated and the decor drab but the bed was very comfortable. Rather annoyingly there is a bath but no hygiene products that can be used if one wants a bath. There was body wash in the shower and face wash above the sink, neither could be moved easily. The staff were fantastic. Would I stay again? I am. Not sure.

I attended a wedding here The Bride and groom had about 50 guests, The registrar came from Nottingham to ensure everything was done legally. The wedding venue was quick transformed into a restaurant while we all ook photos in the gardens and had drinks at the bar and chatted. The Bride and Groom were staying overnight with other guests who had traveled a long way. The food was very good Salmon, crushed new Potatoes Veg and gravy wines on the table. I didn't stay for the evening disco.

Very warm and comfortable hotel. Breakfast was incredible . Very quiet. Great sleep. As a musician I've played all over the world but this is the most quiet place I have ever stayed. Excellent. Keep up the great work.

The hotel was cosy and had a lovely atmosphere. The rooms were in desperate need of updating but we're clean and tidy. The cooked breakfast wasn't great and the evening meal seemed quite expensive, having said all that, I would stay again.

Stayed here for a friend's wedding in lovely rooms with bath, shower, tv sofa etc. Even provided to different kinds of hair dryer. Bed was comfy and room had a little garden with seating attached. Got a glimpse of the bridal sweet which had it's own jacuzzi. Staff were lovely, accommodating, organised and punctual, breakfast was great, the bacon was huge! Parking right next to the door, easy to find, lovely location!
