A little out of town but no problem getting in either by bus or train . Room clean but looking tired and needing redecorating. Host was ok but never met them, just communicated via phone

Just had a wonderful stay at Grove Guest House. I normally book 4 star plus hotels and in some ways this was an equivalent and even more pleasant experience. The owner was really helpful and it was just clean, well equipped and homely and so convenient for Beeston station (a few minutes away)

Very comfortable rooms and superbly located for Beeston station. Wouldve liked dry towels everyday but never mind. Would recommend to others.

We accidentally ended up here following our Sat Nav to Grove Cottage (which is 15 minutes away in Ilkeston). We pulled onto the drive while we phoned Grove Cottage for directions. In the 5 minutes that we were there, the owner pulled up and blocked us on his drive. He wouldn't listen to us about being lost and trying to find a place of a similar name. He took photos of our car and threatened to phone the police. I was sat in the car with our toddler while my partner tried to explain over and over. The owner was aggressive and rude towards a family who had made a genuine mistake in directions. I can't imagine a stay here would be hospitable when the owner is so reluctant to show kindness.

Was ok, but had to leave room for toilet and shower, the shower went from hot to volcanic hot which got me clean but i actually wanted to have a cool shower as was too hot already, brew gear in room but no milk, bloke who booked me in was a bit put out with it being a last minute booking and made sure i knew it, but got on with job, and let me park wagon on carpark, so may have just been end of a long day, still not sure if place was actually open as wasn't any lights on or cars there, but kept waking up hearing noises from above room,

Perfect for what I wanted - a clean room with a comfortable bed for a short term stay. What i got was in fact a very friendly Landlord, a clean room with room for a table and chairs, a microwave and a refrigerator and a clean bathroom with perfectly adequate shower. This was a good deal less than the Best Western which I usually stay in, as well as being convenient for the centre of Beeston and the tram or bus to Nottingham. Will stay again. Most accommodating. Thank you.

A bargain. My room was small but very clean. Somehow the little room managed to boast a sink, a fridge, a desk and chair and - crucially - tea, coffee and a kettle. Excellent location in the middle of Beeston - for me, walking distance to the University. I would stay again.
