The stay never happened. Booked the room in the afternoon and arrived that night to find the hotel locked up and reception closed. Called the number to be told there was no way to check in. Asked why we weren't told when we booked and said we would arrive late. Got no help. Then received a £100 parking fine for the 15 minutes we were sat in their car park trying to get in.

Arrival parking was fine had to pay but wasn’t expensive £5 for 24 hours which is alright although carpark was packed. Went to check in and they could only offer us a family room with bunk beds or a double and family room which was fine. Although we booked two twin rooms apparently fully booked. The hotel had rubbish along the walk way near our room which was disgusting. I think living on the streets would be better then in this. Our double room had no mirror? had stains -“@ over the carpet and was bits in the bed and the room smelt awful like mould with a dripping shower. Even the shower you felt like the floor was dipping in areas. Our family room god that was absolutely vile. Surprised it hasn’t been reported for not being safe the amount of mould in the room was vile. The smell knocked you feeling sick. The window had a spiders nest and mould. The shower was filthy and there was loads of holes in the wall. The floor was wet from im guessing a leaking shower. Anyone could get in the room from the outside as it didn’t lock but it was broken so struggled to get out massive fire hazard if u ask me. The carpet was wet and had loads of stains the desk was dusty with mould and the tea tray was covered in stains. Now the bed sheets were absolutely disgusting there was blood and the single bed had loads of dirt in which we didn’t want to look to close. We did go and complain the women are reception was really apologetic and understood what we was complaining about and was extremely shocked about the dirty bedding. She did change this for us but even then the other one had a whole in but she tried her best. Unfortunately all other rooms was booked up so we had no choice to stay we could of left but because of Halloween there was no where else. Will defo not stay here again and do not recommend. Definitely needs closing down or needs. A massive revamp.

This isn't a hotel, maybe a hostel at best. Yes the room was cheap, but what your paying for is a moldy bathroom, no hot water and a room that smells like cigarettes. But don't worry people are not allowed to smoke in rooms, as we were told by the receptionist.

Cancelled our booking less than 24hours before, without a call. When I tried to call them, their line was dead and I could not reach them. I sent a new email updating my occupancy, but this was taken as a confirmation I recieved a cancellation notice. The parking is not owned by the hotel, which was not mentioned when booking, meaning we would've had to pay. The lady at reception advised me that I had confirmed the cancellation, when in fact I was updating my booking and unable to contact them via telephone. Considering the short notice, it would've been wise to call. On top of this, we weren't even given a proper reason for the cancellation other than issues with room. This was very frustrating.

Do not stay at this 'hotel'. We had a full size fridge/freezer in the room?? but no lamp no chair and the mattresses were very uncomfortable. The place looked shabby and very much lacking in maintenance. The shower looked so grubby that we decided not to use it. The car park does not belong to the hotel so you have to pay. You would be better off staying somewhere else. I gave one star because you cant opt for no stars.

I would not stay here again and feel we were ripped off being charged £54 for a nights stay. Our first impression was the reception room which was also being used for laundry so we were already not expecting great things. We were shown to our room which seemed ok on first inspection. However, we discovered that the mattresses were as hard as could be and every spring could be felt. The shower was leaking which was leaving a puddle on the bathroom floor. The whole room had an unclean feel to it, carpets, walls, sink. It's more like a hostel than a hotel.

This is convenient for those who are looking low level budget hotels. It's worth the roughly £20 they judge for each room. Staff are helpful. Please double check your bed sheets as I've experienced dirty sheets on the bed I rented which I asked the staff to change them and I was given a different clean room. The cut off time time for which to check in is at 20:00 which the websites you book do not clearly show so be ware. Some of the rooms could be too hot as the hotel has one heating system for the whole building. I liked it as I opened the window for a breeze but others complained. Location is good as there's buses you can take to and from outside the hotel towards the city centre so don't be afraid to go that extra mile. One more advice for the hotel owner! I think the staff need to be more professional and showing sympathy and interest towards the guests and looking after the hotel in a proper manner! They come across as low class, can't be bothered type of people! I would suggest to get them in line, a simple uniform with a tye should be imposed. After all, it is a business, and NOT a charity handout! I like this hotel, I think it should stay as a low budget. My cousin visited from far and have been touring UK to see family. He was surprised to see how cheap and convenient this hotel was and liked it very much. After l, 3/5!

We booked here before reading any reviews, and once we checked we were super nervous about staying. We got there and were greeted by a really polite couple on reception to then find out it hadn’t recently been put under new management. we were then showed to our room and was pleasantly surprised, clean sheets, comfy bed, smelled freshly painted, clean showers/towels/toilet. Everything was as it should be and I felt more than comfortable to stay there. Stayed two nights and got a really good sleep both nights, great location lots of fast food places/convenience stores close by as well :) The managers were so friendly, couldn’t do enough for you especially for the amount you pay. Give it a chance before you avoid because of old reviews!
