   Walked in to the store at 10am Sunday the 13th of July 2025 the store was filthy mess and bits everywhere, why not sweep up before it opens or after you close. It was that bad walked out.

   Top marks go to Gemma the assistant manager for helping us out with Buddy our rescue dog yesterday, this lady is so knowledgeable and made us feel at ease with so many questions we needed answering, we're definitely coming back here and wouldn't think twice about recommending this store and Gemma to all pet owners (all the other staff we met were lovely too).

   Fish care- absolutely shocking, won’t ever be purchasing fish from Pets at Home again. We purchased 4x guppies and 6 neons not long back. Not long after our tank was infested with white spots, with no clue why. From this we lost a guppy, neon and 2 other fish in our tank. We returned to Pets and Home to purchase some items, to discover not only are half the fish in treatment, but the tank with the neons and plec/catfish are absolutely littered with white spots, and so many dead fish just lying there in the tank, it was quite upsetting to witness. I also have video proof of this too. There is also very little filtration in the tanks for so many fish. Luckily our fish are now treated, but I really wish we had been more cautious, we could’ve lost our whole tank had we not spotted our white spot outbreak sooner. It is awful for pets and home to be selling fish that will die and spread disease to your entire tank. I rarely ever right bad reviews for companies, but I wouldn’t want any other people to experience what we have!

   Visited here today had no idea about what fish we wanted or what we need and was over the moon with the knowledge the worker was and he greeted us with a smile even if we was the awkward customers. The staff member was called Tom and he was so kind and give us the correct information we’ve have now come home happy with our little purchase

   New to area not registered with vet, but managed to get appointment same day we phoned. Girl on reception desk very pleasant as was the vet. Antibiotics and pain relief given to our dog and just 4 days later she is herself again. We were really worried about her, but would not hesitate to use this vet service again.

   Visit regularly for dog food- unfortunately they run out of pigs ears & gravy bones quite often, but more of an issue getting stock….. Enquired about Guinea pigs recently & male staff member was extremely helpful! Gave us all the information we needed, recommending products & how best to care for them. He did not have a name badge on but he is a credit to your Pets at Home team. They also offer pets for adoption which is very nice to see!
