We have been using Black hills for 18+ years and are welcomed each time we go. My cats have always been looked after and enjoy the peace and quiet as they are in spacious enclosure that has 2 level.
A great cattery. Friendly staff in a great countryside location. My cats are always well looked after even though one cat is often grumpy with unfamiliar people.
We always use Blackhills Cattery when we need to go on holiday or in an emergency. We have been using Blackhills for many years and are extremely happy with the care and service that they offer. I would recommend them for looking after your cat. Elliot and Sara

Blackhills is a really beautiful cattery. The pens are large with a lovely ladder leading to a catflap and upper level ‘ house’ . The pens are spotlessly clean and heated. I love this cattery because all the cats have a lovely view of the garden and the transparent bases of the pens allow them to see the other catties. The owner Chris is passionate about the welfare of the cats. My cat Boris didn’t want to leave! Highly recommended and I would not hesitate to leave Boris there in the future. I am so happy to have found such a great cattery.
Chris was brilliant with Jessie. We were so worried about her as had been quite poorly and not eating. Had lots of scans couldnt get to bottom.of it. Chris recommended lactolose as noticed some fur balls. We could have saved lots of money on scans should have taken her to Cattery instead of Vets lol. She is a very nervous cat but Chris and the team at the cattery did a great job. Thank you so much. Would definitely recommend Blackhills Cattery 100%.
When we have a luxury holiday, so do our cats when they stay over at Blackhills. We’ve used them for years now. Chris cares so much about his residents.
Although our Bella did nt spend time here, due to her untimely death,we we re so impressed with it all. The pens we re clean, you had a choice of small or large, warming pads and best of all a really lovely nurse to oversee all a cats needs. Maybe..in time we ll book in again.
Just picked my cats up and once again very happy with the level of service offered by Blackhills. We have used this cattery since it started for both of our cats and cannot fault the level of care given to them. Added bonus this time, Juniper, our male, had been over grooming himself due to arrival of new cat near home, but whilst in Blackhills his hair has all grown back. A good sign they were happy with their stay. Need to book up again for our next holiday!
