I left my cat here while we went on holiday for four weeks when I rang. She was very nice to me and explained everything. It’s quite difficult to try and sort out a visit because she closes then she opens and then she closes so it’s very difficult so closes just arranged to go and drop our cat off when we got there the area where the cats were kept was very clean no smells all in all. It was very nice. She showed us the kitchen area where the food was going to be stored where the washing machine was. We took our own specialist food and we took his own bed and blanket and my husband T-shirt so that he would feel comfortable. We left our Cat there feeding anxious but Knowing that he was in a cattery and they knew what they were doing, hopefully. While we were on holiday, I rang Sue WhatsApp so that I could see my cat and interact with him so that he wouldn’t feel that we abandoned him, but she would never answer the phone Said it was because of the time difference well obviously we had taken that into consideration because we were speaking to friends and family back home as well and then what you would do is make a video or take pictures of him afterwards and Send them to us, so he’d be sat in the bed with a T-shirt next to him Very posed. I didn’t think this was a bit unusual In England and said do you think he looks unhappy because that’s what I Felt in my gut. Someone on three separate occasions, I WhatsApp to her again the same happened She would do a little video or she would And then one time she went on holiday and left her daughter and her grandchildren with the cats, so her grandchild was there With my cat in the actual area, his cage he looked so different withdrawn almost we were coming back The next Tuesday, however I felt so unhappy. I asked my nieces to go and pick him up. On the Saturday before, Sue didn’t know this at first I rang her just a few hours before. When my niece got there The area was disgusting. It was dirty. It was smelly. Dogs barking at the doors where the cats were kept he didn’t have bed ,his own blanket His T-shirt was missing And he was dirty, he hadn’t been brushed. So the girl sent us For his cage. She lost his cage . How can you lose a cage. My nieces were traumatised by seeing the cat like this so they drove out of the And rang me and said where is the rest of his stuff? Should’ve given it to you and they go now he’s dirty he They didn’t give us anything and they’ve lost his cage so I rang Sue and asked her For his stuff, his bed, his T-shirt, his blanket and then she said oh they must They must need washing Why have they been stored in a cabinet? Should they not have been in a washing basket. I told my niece to go back as they did, and Sue gave them the Belongings my cat stuff has never smelled. I don’t know what they had done when he got home. He was ill. He kept Vomiting we had to take him to the vets three times and the vet couldn’t get to the bottom of it. He had to go on a course of medication and having injections. It’s taken nearly 5 months for our cat to get back to normal. It totally traumatise our cat

Update in response to owner. Yes I did get my deposit back for Easter but not for March despite calling to cancel almost three weeks in advance. You didn’t even bother to cancel the booking so obviously didn’t loose out. Also very judgmental about me rehoming my kitten. I did explain on the phone that my partner had a severe allergy to him so you made a stressful situation even worse. It’s a shame as we are looking at getting a hyper allergenic cat in the future and would have still used this Cattery if things had been different. Please be aware you will struggle to get your deposit back even if you give over two months notice. I booked my new kitten in for two weeks at the start of March and for four days over Easter at the end of April. Unfortunately we had to rehome the kitten due to very sad circumstances the middle of February. I called to explain and was told I wouldn’t receive my £50 deposit back for March but I would for Easter. Two days later I called as still hadn’t received Easter deposit back. I was told on the phone it would be done later that evening. The following evening I still hadn’t received it and instead received a text to say refunding wouldn’t be possible as all deposits non refundable and this was stated on the booking form. I found the booking form and it clearly didn’t state this. When I questioned this I was told I had an old form, well that was the form I was given! To cut a long story short I did finally receive the £50 Easter deposit back but was all very stressful on top of a very sad situation. To top it off I was called just before the March booking asking for final balance so the March booking obviously hadn’t been cancelled by the owner. Obviously not a very busy time of year as they didn’t rush to cancel the booking and feel they kept the March deposit unfairly. I feel this business very unprofessional. When I reminded them I had cancelled the booking, their only response was to slam the phone down.

We have been taking our 3 cats here for nearly 6 years. I can't say enough about the level of care the staff provide, nothing is too much trouble, always helpful. The pens are always very clean, lots of space with a view. The staff also interact with them so they know exactly what to expect and they get spoiled rotten

I kept one of my horses at this location for a while & it's extremely secure. The owner was brilliant, especially when my horse was ill, they couldn't have been any more helpful. They're always very friendly & talkative I'd definitely recommend this location.
