   Didn't originally plan to come but was such a nice place to stay; the staff were super friendly, the drinks were well priced, the room was cosy, clean and warm. The castle is across the road and the church is beautiful.

   Rooms are small, but very comfortable and they had everything we needed. We stayed two nights. There is a free hour of street parking, and free from 5pm to 8am, so we parked on the street after 4pm and left before 9am. The location is wonderful. From the front door you can see Carrickfergus Castle - a block away. Food and service were very good. It's old world charm was especially felt in the cozy lobby and the nautical themed restaurant.

   So I only ate here I never started in the inn. With that said the food was just amazing. The pork and the short ribs were perfectly tender. The seafood soup was hands down perfect and the home made bread is unlike any I have ever had. The staff was so kind and even bullion a fire for us. Definitely an amazing place to eat

   Best food by far! I have no words to praise the staff here, especially the chef, George, that reminded us of home with every single meal. If I come to Ireland I will always be staying here. Fabulous!

   Loved this place. Was initially a bit reluctant, not where I would usually stay for work. The “family” of staff were excellent and really looked out for me. Good food and all reasonably priced. Yay please support these guys.

   The staff are friendly and helpful. Thanks Kirsten and Trish for great food and clean rooms. The location is great. Keep in mind the history of the property, it is a cool bragging right to have stayed there. Points to be aware of; The room above the bar gets all the bar noise and some smoke from the smokers outside the bar so if you choose it plan to join in. Other rooms were not noisy or smokey. There are no elevators. Shower plumbing may confuse Americans used to single handle faucet operations. The stay will give you an experience to talk about for years!
