I was offered a free nights stay at The Gregory after staying at their hotel Quarter by Warren and facing multiple issues (can be seen in previous review). The Gregory is in a really lovely area, however feels more like a Bed and Breakfast than a hotel. The rooms are lovely very warm and comfortable, the whole atmosphere of the Gregory is very warm and cosy and is perfect for a chilly November evening if you want to just settle in for the evening and relax. Which is exactly what I did. The surrounding areas are lovely and the location of the hotel is close to the Botanical Gardens which is a short walk away. When we had breakfast at the Quarter it was if very poor standard and quality, however due to other plans we never got to try the breakfast at The Gregory (charged at £12pp extra). Our experience here has definitely been far better than the experience we had at their other location within Belfast. Staff in both hotels have always been lovely and can't fault them. The only complaint would be that as we stayed on the bottom floor at the back of the residence, it was very nosey above us, you can here every movement, stomping about and sound proofing isn't great (although it is an old building so not sure what can be done with that). Also our bathroom is located right next to the rear car park, even though the window is frosted you can easily see through the window so perhaps a blind would be very beneficial.

The charm of the Gregory has gone. This used to be a lovely up market hotel but not it feels like a scaled up travel lodge. Key lockboxes and vending machines in the reception and staff not wearing shirt and tie as they used to. The reception used to be so charming now it's a clutter of what to do's and taxi call boxes, A creacky old building where you can hear EVERYTHING at night. We were up half the night with people moving about and talking. This is not a 4 star hotel its a 2 star at best. The warren collection was the worst thing to happen to the Gregory. £140 per night for this is a joke. £60 a night would be more accurate. If you can get it for that then go ahead but an Ibis would be better than this for the price

We spent 2 nights at The Gregory Belfast in October. The room was comfortable, and in terms of location, it was a good 25 minute walk to downtown Belfast - but in general it was fine. The breakfast was OK, but it was not included in the room rate, as opposed to many B&B's we stayed in. The front desk helped us book our Hop-on-Hop-off bus tour. We enjoyed a very nice meal at a hotel a few doors down. Carolyn & Rick (Montreal) Oct 2025

The lady at the reception was great and she gave us a warm welcome, the rooms and bathrooms were spotless, the bed was made the way I like it: very tight! Unfortunately, we felt a bit duped, as this is not what I consider a 4 Stars hotel. It is more like a Bed and Breakfast. Our bathroom was outside of our room, and we had to carry our key and cross the hall to reach it, then back to the room. There wasn't much space in our room, with no desk but a lot of drawers, for the price we paid I was expecting better. There was not much soundproofing and we could hear the TV from other rooms. There is no bar at the "hotel" and quite limited breakfast options. The building is nice, it feels a bit like staying at someone's home. The location is great as the neighbourhood is lively with lots of eateries and pubs around. Just not worth it for the price of a 4 Stars

Clean room in a nice building located in Queens Quarter. Overall comfortable room but on the smaller side. Limited free onsite parking. Street parking is free but limited as well. Reception available 3pm to 7pm but can arrange for check-in outside those hours. Walking to central Belfast takes 30+ min, you can take a bus that runs every 20 min. Nice quiet neighborhood and not far from a lot of restaurants.

James was absolutely fantastic, such a polite helpful guy who is a real credit to the hotel. Thank-you for all your help during our stay this weekend. We absolutely loved staying here, rooms were great and will be back in the future.

Didn't change towels but otherwise great service in a beautiful hotel on a quiet, lovely street. Clean, spacious room with high ceilings. Nice desk and toiletries. Easy walking distance to QUB and Ulster Museum. Best place I've ever stayed on vacation, even compared with the Fairmont hotels etc.
