   I stayed at Astala Lodge twice this week with friends. Both stays were very pleasant, the twin room was comfortable and the owner very helpful. The location by the marina was very convenient for the town centre and the train station. Good continental breakfast selection available to help yourself which was great and the breakfast room has some nice views of the marina. The weather in Bangor was changeable but the temperature in the rooms was comfortable and we all slept well. The beds were also comfortable. The one change I'd suggest is to have slightly bigger mugs in the rooms - the mugs provided were a bit small for a decent cup of tea. I'd definitely recommend Astala to stay in again when I come back to Bangor. Many thanks.

   Julie and Steven great Once we had a sea view it was a lot better Some rooms look out the back are but this is like any hotel Macerator is noisy in the room Let me help myself in the bar but settled bar bill with a young lad the next day Parking is free Breakfast continental,was very good value Thank you both

   fantastic accommodation, Stephen that booked us in was so friendly and helpful which made our stay even more enjoyable. Room was immaculate with harbour views,short walk to cafes pubs etc. Definitely would recommend anyone to stay here

   Gorgeous little guest house right on the sea front in Bangor. Julie showed us around and helped us choose a lovely place for dinner. The place is spotless and the room was very comfortable. One point docked for the noisy toilet pump but I would definitely rather have that than an unflushable toilet. Overalls I'd say it's a little gem if you're staying in Bangor

   Very nice place. The furniture is a bit old /tatty but the rooms are perfectly clean and comfortable and were cleaned every day. Extremely happy with my stay for the price. I stayed here on my own while visiting family and felt very safe. Would stay here again and ask for a sea view as the view is really quite nice. 2 minute walk to nearest cafe and shops and found free parking right at bottom of steps.

   My friend and I stayed one night in October 2018. My room was at the front overlooking the marina, what a view! The room was large, the bed comfortable, the staff friendly and the lift was very much appreciated. I was delighted to see a bible in the bedside table for the use of guests. The breakfast was tasty and we enjoyed the close proximity to the pretty marina with fountains, the shops, all a short walk away.

   Astala is in a picture perfect place. The views are stunning. The rooms are lovely. The breakfast is hearty and tasty. From the first day to the last, Trevor was a gent and very accommodating! Highly recommend Astala! My self and my family will be back for sure!

   The room was very very tiny the view over looking bins and the room wasn't clean great dirty cups spoon beer can behind drawer etc and the bed was very uncomfortable you can feel every lump and bump. lift wasn't working had to walk up 4 fights off stairs. Breakfast was ok not worth the extra 6 pound each. The staff were friendly house is always nice and warm downstairs was lovely pity about the rooms.

   The staff are lovely and friendly and it creates a homely feel to the place. The rooms are nicely decorated although a little basic. The lodge has lovely views of the marina which i really liked and the rooms are a reasonable rate.
