   Hi, the lady (short hair & loud) in the Totnes branch has some bizarre pricing strategies. I asked how much a picture in a very cheap (£6 brand new) frame and she said £15?? The picture wasn’t very nice and I was after the frame. In between this, her ‘mate’, an old regular ‘dealer’ came in and she gave him 2x large pendant light shades that were probably worth at least £20 each for £4 each whilst having a good old giggle with him. This just seems beyond bizarre as prices in my local refurnish shop that I’ve been coming to for years (and I buy stuff for my house not to sell) She has zero room for any negotiation and she even said ‘you question the price every time you come in’ to me after I said it’s a little expensive. She seems power hungry and quite rude as someone customer facing.

   went over this morning, Sunday, to drop off some furniture since Google said they would be open. It clearly says on the front of the building Monday to Saturday suggest somebody updates the Google opening times.

   Tried to donate an expensive piece of furniture. Sent photos and safety labels to them which they confirmed were all acceptable. Waited 2 weeks for collection and on the day was told the labels were not accepted. They were unsure and confused with mixed information in store vs the collection drivers. Not the drivers fault. Staff in store should be properly trained to read a label correctly. A bad experience and a waste of my time.

   Refurb started out badly many years ago and were fleecing the unemployed. Several years ago they changed management and greatly improved and prices used to be quite reasonable and the guys behind the counter were pleasant. Sadly now on many items they've become greedy and mean and the service surly and I wouldn't recommend them until they have another rethink about their poor attitude.

   Absolutely wonderful place and the team are always super helpful. Moved into an unfurnished 3 bed house, and I had absolutely no furniture to my name. I very quickly managed to furnish the whole place almost solely from Refurnish (with a quick trip over to the Buckfastleigh branch for curtains and Newton Abbot for white goods). All for under £500 in total! Really pleased with my new home. Thank You Refurnish!
