    Chalkies in Long Eaton isn’t one I’d recommend. The place feels unwelcoming, the staff don’t give off the best vibe, and the atmosphere is flat compared to other pubs nearby. Drinks aren’t great either and it just doesn’t feel like money well spent. With so many better options around Long Eaton, Chalkies is one I’d avoid.

    I was drinking in this place 30 years ago and it has hardly changed. The bar staff and door staff are really friendly and welcoming. Some of the customers leave a little to be desired, but on the whole - are all there to have a good time. The prices are good, the range of drinks is great and you are nearly always guaranteed to have a decent night. Makes a change from the idiots and prices in town!

    So heard a lot about this place, from cheesy to avoid it completely. Yet I loved it. Great atmosphere and vibes throughout. Massive bonus as it allows Vaping and you can even buy vapes from behind the bar. Lots of staff and doormen around. Great place.

    I have been a couple of times now and honestly it is such a good night out, people are so friendly, bar and door staff are great, they are polite and friendly all whilst doing a great job. It's nothing fancy but it's a great crowd and good music

    Great for cheap drinks and a little dance! Great music (normally) few months ago the DJ had changed and he was rubbish! But hopefully he's changed since then. Always have a good night out
