“Really nice bar, good beer and nice people”

“Had a lovely meal at The Butchers. We had a ‘Mega Roast’ and it was amazing! The meat was incredible and the unlimited trimmings ensured you had enough food (and some going spare). We will definitely be back. The service was great- Holly was warm, welcoming and attentive. All staff were fantastic. 5/5 would recommend.”

“Been to the Stumble Inn a couple of times now, only had the home made cobs from the bar, but they were lovely and easily worth every penny! The staff are really friendly and nice people, and even the locals that drink there were really friendly too.... The live band on the night ( Dr Spork) were simply fantastic.”

“I drank in this pub 50 years ago when I was at Trent College.spent many happy hours in there. In those far off days the landlord was a jovial guy called Jack. Called in there last year before lockdown,much smarter now and far more choice still a great pub.in those days mild and blackcurrant 11d old money! Happy days and better than learning at school.”

“My Family and I visited Eaton Farm on 30th October 2025 for a birthday treat. We all had a lovely meals and a great time. The Carvery was very nice, the Cowboy Burgers were excellent and I had the Mixed Grill was excellent. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. There is a lovely pleasant atmosphere in the pub.”

“This place is class. I'm not a fan of chain pubs and this place far from that. Its like sitting in old shop. There's no place like it. Always got a great selection of beers to choose from on cask and keg. The staff are always super friendly. You can take your dog in too. One of most original and best pubs in Long Eaton.”

“A lovely high tea at Copper Cogs with some friends. Great service and lovely atmosphere. I noted on my booking that I was dairy free and didn’t expect much as most places still don’t cater well for it but I was delivered the most gorgeous selection of sandwiches and cakes, I was so impressed. We have eaten breakfast here too and always love it.”

“Awesome pub food, good service and great atmosphere. decore is upto date and has a desent sized car park and garden area with lots of seating to enjoy the sun and to relax in and they have a small covered seating area with heaters. Dogs are welcome in the gardens and bar area, not the eatting side though. Very happy to keep going back to this one :) they have small womens &mens toilets and a dissabled toilet to the back, with a ramp at the front doors. An outside covered bit for smokers. The price depends on if you have food and drinks, or just drinks. The staff are grate and quick to serve and sort any issues out. It can get very busy in summer or events that are happening in the area, but dont let that put you off going in.”

“Decent olde-style pub with nice staff. Real home-made food. Reasonable choice of standard ales, plus a couple of cask ales. Dog friendly. Outside area. Recently taken over by a group of ladies who've bought in a new chef. Food got better, and so did the service.”

“What a lovely pub in a lovely location overlooking the River Trent, with tables and chairs on lawns between the river and the pub. The Erewash canal is to the side of the pub with it's fascinating lock gates and other interests. We drove up by Campervan from our South Somerset home to visit family members in Beeston. There were no campsites near Beeston but searching for Pub Stop-overs we found The Trent Lock Pub (formerly The Navigation Inn.) We phoned ahead, got the thumbs up and arrived 5pm. We selected a parking slot at the rear of the car park looking onto grass land and trees. We invited two family members for dinner and we ate at 7.30pm (the pub opened at 6pm) The food was superb and we didn't have to wait long for it. I had the chicken salad with avocado and bacon plus a side of sweet potato fritters. Incredible flavours!The others had Salmon and onion fishcakes with shrimp sauce with broccoli and other vegetables, which they enjoyed. Wine was a nice Sauvignon Blanc. The service was good and the staff were pleasant so what else could one ask for. So we will come Pub Stop-Over camping at the Trent Pub every time we visit Beeston and we know we'll get good free camping and bl__dy good food. “This is a discrete but friendly small pub, offering an opportunity to have a quiet drink and relax away from the hustle and bustle of the nearby Long Eaton town centre. I visited on a Monday evening from about 7.20pm, expecting it to be empty but not only finding a small crowd in both the lounge and the bar, but acoustic entertainment being performed live in one corner. However, I had no difficulty in receiving prompt and diligent service at the bar for myself and two friends in need of refreshment and snacks. It is convenient to those who wish to explore the Erewash Canal and the many interesting sights to be seen from its towpath running all the way from the centre of Nottingham to Langley Mill in the Amber Valley. The Mill and Brook represents a handy stop off to anyone heading in either direction; with a short walk to the town centre shops too.”

“Went to the Tappers on Wednesday night as the Mrs couldn't be bothered to cook. Had the Curry night offer of a curry & pint for £11.75 which was absolutely exceptional value. Our table was looked after by Brandon who was a cracking lad. He was polite, enthusiastic & professional. A real asset to the team there. Jamie who was behind the bar was excellent as well.”

The event was one of our best to date great staff, atmosphere and the guests loved our services. We have had a a couple of additional bookings from the venue which is the icing on the cake.
