A lovely high tea at Copper Cogs with some friends. Great service and lovely atmosphere. I noted on my booking that I was dairy free and didn’t expect much as most places still don’t cater well for it but I was delivered the most gorgeous selection of sandwiches and cakes, I was so impressed. We have eaten breakfast here too and always love it.

Place has a potential, however the service is not great. As we walked in we stood there for 5 mins until we got seen and was told there is not space and to come back in an hour. We came back and we had to wait again until we got seated. Missed out on breakfast as they only serve it until certain time. Very slow service but place looks cozy and food wasn’t bad; but not worth the price.

Came here to pick up a "Too Good To Go" bag, which was a huge piece of chocolate cake. I stopped for a cappuccino, and to catch my breath. The staff here are lovely, really, obliging, and helpful. Whilst I sat to drink my coffee, a member of staff asked if I'd just like to look at the food menus available, I agreed - so , a lovely member of staff brought me 3 menus. A starter menu, a breakfast menu (only served until 11.30am) and a mains/lunch menu. I have to say that there is an excellent choice of foods available, including "gluten-free", vegetarian, and vegan choices, and some delicious looking cakes, and puddings.. All in all a good experience for me.

I hired the Copper Cog's Function Room to host a birthday party for my boyfriend Tom and would recommend this venue to anyone wanting to do the same. In the weeks leading up to it, the staff were very quick to answer my emails and were able to accommodate a family member with dietary requirements with ease. On the day, they allowed family members to come in and set up ahead of time and were very attentive during the time we were in the room, even providing us with takeaway boxes to take food home! I have enjoyed an evening meal here in the past but now will rave about their function room and catering too!

Really lovely bar with friendly staff, lovely cocktails, good food and great cakes. Every time I have been, lunchtime, evening, etc) there has been a great atmosphere. The service is good; the staff are very nice, food and drink are always prompt even when they’re full, and you can have a nice chat and laugh with them. They are very child friendly, and there are changing facilities for little ones. The loos are generally clean and in good working order.

Great food and cocktails myself and my wife stayed at a local hotel overnight and came here for dinner. Lovely platters and food in good portions. The cocktails were great with the 2 for £10 deals. If we stop nearby again, we will definitely visit. Staff were very professional and polite.
