   This place never fails to delight! Blue Monkey, Kingsand and the whole of surrounding Rame Peninsula is a truly special place. We have always loved coming here over the years and our recent trip over early January has exceeded expectations. Bracing walks under dramatic and stormy skies coupled with some special family time inside the ultra cosy Blue Monkey have featured strongly on this trip! Blue Monkey in winter has offered a place of sanctuary from the cold and harsh weather outside. The fire has been roaring as we have enjoyed a glass of wine whilst playing games and catching up with friends. We have had some fabulous walks in the area including a memorable trek to Mount Edgecumbe followed by lunch in 'The Stables' there. Other highlights include seeing some very dramatic waves over Whitsand Bay following a storm passing through. If you want a mix of the outdoors, family and friends time whilst being set in one of the most cosy and luxurious of homes that we know, this place is for you. We will be back!

   Our stay in Blue Monkey was fabulous. The house is great, very comfortable, scrupulously clean and excellently equipped. The courtyard garden was lovely with colourful plants, outdoor furniture and gas BBQ. We were three generations and 2 dogs fully occupying the house and there was plenty of room for everyone. The games and toys provided were a very nice touch. We all had great fun on the kayaks, paddle boards, body boards and the grandchildren also enjoyed rock pooling with the little fishing nets all provided. There’s something for everyone in Kingsand/Cawsand with beaches, plenty of walks, good pubs and a fun ferry ride over to Plymouth if the fancy takes. Blue Monkey provided an excellent information package with everything you needed to know and more before your stay. I would thoroughly recommend.

   It’s safe to say we fell in love with Cawsands and Blue Monkey and have already booked our return trip. Blue Monkey is so well equipped. We really didn’t need to bring anything. We were particularly impressed with the provisions for children and the kitchen. We were a big group of 6 adults and 5 kids (age 0-12). The kitchen had everything we could need for big communal meals around the huge table, and loads of things we wouldn’t have expected. We made great use of the paddle boards, kayaks and bodyboards. Fab to have them included! The bedrooms are a fab size and the beds are really comfy. The location is perfect. A stones throw to the beaches, which is particularly useful when trying to get everybody out of the house and inevitably forgetting stuff. We barely left the village! Thank you Blue Monkey for a wonderful holiday and we can’t wait to come back!

   Blue Monkey is the perfect place for a family get-together: spacious, comfortable and well equipped. It's in a great location a stone's throw from the beach, with the coastal path nearby for scenic walks. Comms with manager Annabel were great, and there was a lovely welcome hamper to greet us. 10/10, would highly recommend!

   We stayed at Blue Monkey from 1-8 December 22. Communication throughout was spot on and on arrival, the house was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Our stay was also to celebrate my wife’s 50th Birthday and with prior arrangement, the house was decorated with balloons too. The concierge list they provide is very extensive and we had a meal prepared for our first night, which was lovely - fish pie for 6 and vegetable sides all left in the fridge on arrival. The house is really well equipped - i’m not sure there is much else you could ask for and if in doubt, there is an inventory you can check before your stay!! Lovely house, brilliant stay for Emily’s 50th birthday. Thank you xxx

   Booked for family wedding at Polhawn Fort and all the bathrooms. After a 2 year wait due to covid it was worth the wait. Excellent location like going back in time with very little traffic on the narrow streets and most tings a stones throw away to the pub, shop, and beach. House is well equipped with plenty of space and welcoming Cornish cream tea.

Kingsand & Cawsand never fail to impress, a calm retreat with outstanding views. I couldn’t recommend the area or Blue Monkey more. It’s idyllic and perfect ❤️

   This place is amazing we booked for a family Christmas celebration so we could have us all together for a magical Christmas. Location this is spot on the area is truly breathtaking. The locals are the most inviting persons we have ever met. Pubs are traditional and welcoming. Blue monkey has everything you need to host a family meal and holiday. The rooms are fully equipped a luxury 5 star. We didn’t want to leave 2 leave. Already looking to book again for the summer. Cawsand you have my heart .

   An idyllic seaside holiday cottage, perfect for babies and children of all ages and a dog’s paradise! The beach is 5 minutes walk from the cottage and the local restaurants are all superb. We took our family for a week and decided it was one of the best holidays we’ve ever had. Blue Monkey has everything you need and more for a self catering holiday or if you feel like handing the saucepans over to somebody else, they have an excellent concierge service to whistle up a cook. We’ll definitely be back!
